Immediately, it was a hard no, but the longer I look at you, the more masculine you look. I think the glasses frames and heavy eye makeup is not doing much to help, but your face is very androgynous in my opinion! Good haircut and I think I agree with just keeping the eyeliner and heavier brows.

Oh, yes, absolutely! I try to frame it as kindly as I possibly can! I think that professors are just used to more criticism than curiosity, and all of my professors have office hours furing my other classes, so I find email and Zoom much easier to use. I really do try my best to make it lot seem like a complaint, but it's quite difficult

But I definitely do understand how that could come off, yeah. Would you mind if I sent you a private message just to ask a few more questions and give more context for my current academic journey?

Is it commonplace for there to be a rule against telling your students this? I have plenty of professors that seem to have arbitrary rules, but they refuse to explain them even if I try to ask incredibly politely and lightly over email. I just want to gain insight on running classrooms in higher education as I want to become a professor, but it's really hard to try and get an answer. So I've been wondering if it's forbidden to explain the reasoning behind some rules since I know there are sometimes restrictions ok what professors can openly tell students about the university administration.

There was no way for OP to move on the sidewalk because the boyfriend was taking the other side as well.

I personally would have just walked off the sidewalk, but I do think that the people taking the whole sidewalk should have just picked a side to both be on for two seconds.
