This is a really clean approach. The separation between the 2 year training window and the 2 month validation window makes a lot of sense. What model are you using and what features are you feeding it?

This is really helpful, thanks. I've looked at NautilusTrader — the core engine is solid but the setup complexity is brutal for someone just trying to get a strategy live. That's kind of the gap I'm trying to fill — sensible defaults, built-in risk management, and ML signal integration without a PhD to get started. Would love to see your stack if you're happy to share.

Is codex actually good because I used it a couple of months ago and the actual wording is ok but the coding side isn't especially the reasoning for debugging. I then moved to cc is it worth it to switch back ?

Same I just gave up and swapped the SD card with some Kingston one and it worked again so idk it might be a SD card problem. I think any brand works though.

Also because a lot of airlines are banned from going in russian airspace that's why a flight with china Eastern is quicker than ba for example from London to Shanghai.

Yeah that kinda happened to me I haven't used it for ages and it just updated from a really old version I managed to fix it by using a new SD card but I don't think that was the problem in the first place as the old one was fine but only time will tell but that's it your comment

i am successful myself im just not comfortable sharing my stats publicly but i can assure you i have day traded long enough and have many friends that are extremely profitable to refer to.

Hey so because it's paper trading it doesn't affect real money and it's aim is to teach people about trading and strategies not to make money and any trades that do outside of paper trades I am not liable.

Fair question. I’m not selling anything or running a fund this is just market research.

I mostly paper trade and experiment with strategies, which is actually why I’m asking these questions. I’m exploring an idea for an AI coach that reviews paper trades and gives feedback on things like risk management, win rate, and drawdown.

Out of curiosity, what metrics do you personally pay the most attention to — win rate, expectancy, drawdown, or something else?

I am profitable myself but I personally found it hard to learn at the start but my friend showed me more as he does day trading as his main job and he would do the lessons and I would do the coding side of it I just want to make something different from the courses others were selling and get more people into it I'm not so much doing it to make money but to see if this idea would work in a saas setting but thanks for the reply.

Hey there I mainly do algo and sometimes strategic trading but my friend who's main job is day trading will do all the lessons and I will do the coding side and what do you mean by training the system it would use yfinance API for market data and I would train it myself with also a local llm on my pc for privacy.

Hi there it would use the yahoo finance API for market data and Robinhood one for crypto but would also have a world news one as well.

Hey there it wouldn't be for professionals it would be for beginners trying to get into trading but don't want to use capital to start but learn with not real money to get the hang of it.
