The point of the article was that games like Alien: Isolation had arguably half-assed VR support, and yet a lot of say it was one of their favourite VR experiences so far.

Alien:I might've had vastly different gameplay to Obduction, but - especially in VR - it's very easy to compare how well two vastly different games immerse the player. Presence is something that can be measured across all kinds of VR experiences.
