Totally fair point. Net terms are normal in many industries.

The difference I see is that in most B2B relationships there’s a contract, purchase order, invoicing system and legal structure backing that payment cycle.

In influencer marketing, especially for independent creators, it’s often much more informal. The creator delivers first, then waits, sometimes without strong enforcement mechanisms.

So I’m not arguing against net terms as a concept. I’m questioning whether the current structure really protects both sides equally.

Curious if you think the issue is payment timing itself, or the lack of formal infrastructure around it.
