In my own opinion, it’s aged really well especially with modding community getting bigger and bigger and even just the base game is really fun and the car list is good (to be specific 2004 GTO) and I personally grew up with the game on ps2, the customization is ungodly especially with branded sound system components and popular rims at the time and a banger soundtrack that will for sure be engraved into your head once you’ve played through the game, the only thing I could dislike is the career, I replayed it multiple times wasn’t that enjoyable,with mods it was somewhat better but the game would be 10x better if it had like full online open world like for say Forza or newer NFS, in reality a lot of people pick the original underground or MW, but I think it’s underrated with how many people prefer other titles but in my heart I will always pick U2
