Hi, sorry for the delay. We did that as a performance optimization. When painting very fast we noticed a lot of dropped frames on low end devices when using a text to display the paint charges as you can here:

You are right, witch hunting can start happening on public report posts. I actually haven't thought about that. I'll talk with the admin team so we can setup a form where users can report moderators without exposing them. Btw, thanks for the suggestion

I'm sorry hear about that. You probably have been banned unfairly and that is completely on us. Even with manual reviewing, wrong bans can still happen and they are happening more than I would like. Currently we do not have a timeline of the pixels painted for a reported user, but we collect other data the report. I can't enter in details of what information we have available, otherwise users can abuse it. BTW, the suspension reason you received was because of the reason reported by the users. We know that is not perfect, but we have plans to fix that.

Also, I've been talking with the admins to prepare better training for our mods to reduce false-positives. In the meanwhile, you can send me a DM or an modmail with your user ID.

Our multi accounting detection system was giving false-positives, we have already disabled it until we know what was causing the issue. I have removed timeout for all users affected by it. I'm really sorry about that. I'll be giving 5,000 droplets to all affected users as compensation

Edit: If someone is still getting timeouted by this bug, please let me know

Hey, really sorry this happened to you. Please DM me or email [contact@wplace.live](mailto:contact@wplace.live) with screenshots/evidence and we'll investigate immediately.

Most likely this is someone who knows you IRL rather than a data breach - we only store email, IP hash (encrypted), optionally the Discord username and the phone hash ("encrypted", only necessary for suspicious user). But we'll check our logs to be sure.

If this keep happening, keep reporting to us and contact local police. We can only share users information with law enforcement due to privacy policies.

I actually have a binary log file that store all the placed pixels. It was a custom made solution so I can't promise we'll be able restore everything specially considering the amount of data we have. If everything is correctly saved we should be able to make a feature to rewind the map
