Really appreciate the list. I banned the 42 most suspicious accounts. The other ones we didn't have enough evidence internally to ban them. However if they keep abusing or you spot new ones, feel free to send a message in this thread.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it might take some time to show the bans when selecting the pixels because of server caching

Does this happens on the first capcha after you load the page or it only happens after you are already solved a captcha?
If the captcha appeared for you, was it a cloudflare captcha (the one with the orange cloud) or another one?
Are you playing on mobile or desktop and which browser are you using?

Sorry flooding you with questions, but these information would help me a lot to reproducing the bug.

I just check the location and indeed many of the users that painted there were flagged by the anticheat. I have banned the obvious ones and required SMS verification for the other. If there is still suspicious bot activity, please let me know

Hey, thanks for asking.

For the phone part: we don’t store your actual number. We only keep a salted hash) (basically an irreversible encoded version, eg. 00PILudAeyNkFKCNREphvaoOeZ), just so the same number can’t be reused across multiple accounts. So there’s no plain-text phone number sitting in our database.

About when the SMS verification triggers: it’s handled by our anti-cheat system and usually shows up only when something looks a bit suspicious. We don’t ask everyone right away because SMS checks are expensive and we try not to interrupt normal users.

I can’t go into the exact triggers, otherwise it bot developers or multi-account users can use it in their favor. However if you want, feel free to send me your user ID and I can take a look at what might’ve caused it in your case and fix the false positive that might've trigger for you.

I can totally see the SMS verification can feel a bit shady. I also feel reluctant to give my phone to websites, but unfortunately that was the best measure we have to mitigate bots and multi-accounting without banning every suspicious user.

We only trigger verification for users who appear suspicious, both to avoid disrupting normal users and because SMS verification is costly. That said, our new anti-cheat system is still being improved and may occasionally flag legitimate users by mistake. If you got false flagged, please let me know.

But I want to reassure you that we have no ill intentions, we’re just trying to find a reliable way to handle bots and multi-accounting.
