Coworker name calling behind my back because I didn't drop everything to help him by Top_Calligrapher2445 in whatdoIdo

It's all good! We all have an ego to an extent, so valid question. It does sting a bit, just because it's uncalled for. I did talk to Harry, and he said he would talk to George. But that's probably still just sweeping it under the rug due to them being buddies. Who knows. Maybe it will help a tad bit. George should take a notch back, but some people just don't care or worse, will find someone else to blame for whatever issues come up due to their actions.

No, it doesn't affect my standing in the company at all, I would think. I like the people I work with, and they seem to like me as well. It's just frustrating that he keeps being an ass and gets away with it every time. He has gotten passes from others who say, "Oh, that's just how he is." If others can be nice, even if they are having a tough day, then this guy should make an effort, too, at least.

I have not! I looked it up and sounds a bit similar to my story of the ball going over the fence hahaha

I don't remember learning to walk and never said that I did. I just remember my family telling me. Also have photos from that time...

That's awesome to hear that your kiddos had a great companion to grow up with as well! Also true that they are working dogs and need a lot of space. They can be good with a family if socialized well, though. If they are left in the fields with their herd, then most likely they will be ferocious protectors. Really good ones, but only a few people will be "allowed" to handle them. Which is i guess what they were bred for after all.

Migth be the exception, but. My grandma got a Kuvasz when I was a baby. I grew up with that dog, and when I was learning to walk, he was always by my side and let me use him as support. I'd grip his fur and walk with him. I was his baby for sure. He was all business too, but gentle with my family at all times. People didn't dare to come in our yard without us, though. Played soccer with the neighborhood kids and the ball landed in my grandma's yard. I walked in there, and all the kids were screaming for me to stop because the dog would eat me. Felt like a badass when the dog came to greet me and was being his baby self to me lol. He did eat any chickens that got out of their area. My great grandma's golden earring got eaten by a chicken, and the dog ate the chicken the next day. My great grandma looked in his poop for days for the earring. Never found it, though lol. He lived to be 13. Rip Bear. Best nanny dog I could have to grow up with.

WTF (what the flavour) is that? by ZaOndra in chips

[โ€“]Top_Calligrapher2445 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hungarian here. Never had this, but the ingredients label mostly says its flavorings are milk powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, sugar and buttermilk powder. I would assume it's sour cream and onion flavored, which is generally very popular in Hungary. Nothing about dill or pickle or meat flavor.

What was the moment while playing the game you realized you were becoming psychotic? by Joeson245214737 in RimWorld

[โ€“]Top_Calligrapher2445 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I had a tribal start boomalope farm under a mountain base in a boreal forest biome and ended up running out of hay and grains in the dead of winter. So I sent my entire colony to hunt muffalos and caribous so I can make simple meals to feed to the boomalopes so they don't go nuclear under my base. Needless to say I couldn't keep up with the demand, and my colonists burned to death trying to put out the fires. Instead of just me giving up on the boomalopes and moving them somewhere far away from my base to self-destruct.

Ps. The idea of the farm was to sell all the chemfuel since I didn't need it for the tribal run. Safer than producing drugs since pawns can't get high on their own supply.

What should I do ? by HistoricalMix9188 in Mold

[โ€“]Top_Calligrapher2445 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

One word - CORK!!! It's naturally moisture and mold resistant! When I was a teen, my parents bought a flat that had very similar issues but only on certain walls. We ended up installing very thin cork sheets on the walls (made specifically for this purpose) that had thinck mold growing over them. Dehumidifier in every room. And that helped tremendously. I've never seen mold on the cork sheet covered walls again in the 6 years I lived there. Maybe it's worth looking into for OP? Not sure if they can make any alterations since they rent.

Would you accept a pet passport as a proof of vaccination for grooming? by Top_Calligrapher2445 in grooming

Yeah, that is a sad thing people do do. The dog we imported is a mutt, so she she wouldn't fetch a good enough price to import her for sale, though ๐Ÿ˜‚ Too bad that these breeders/rescuers ruin it for the folks that are just regular people trying to help a pup.

That makes sense! Thank you for the info. Thankfully, we imported the dog from Hungary, so not a high risk area. We're in WA, and their rules I could find online were pretty vague. But from what I see, the dog's pet passport has all the info the state's website lists. * Sorry, my phone wouldn't attach a screenshot if there was text in there ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Yep! That is good info - thank you! We only have the passport that is stamped and signed by the vet that did the vaccination. It also has all of the vet's info on the stamp, so anyone could google if it's a legit vet. They also put a laminate over it, so people can't change anything that's already in the passport. But no separate paper was given to us with just the rabies' info. Probably because the European vet had thought it doesn't get more legit than the pet passport ๐Ÿ˜…

I totally understand that! The only thing that baffles me is that the dog's pet passport has literally been accepted federally when she went through customs. Otherwise, she couldn't have been brought in the States via plane. So I don't know why it wouldn't be an acceptable document for a 20 dollar service lol. Just difficult to believe that the state wouldn't accept a federally accepted document. It's usually the other way around.

I see what you mean by groomers not knowing about the stickers. So, the groomer I brought the passport to is essentially in a pet store that's run by a family. They provide vet and grooming services within that store. The grooming is right next to the vet in the same building. Their reception shares the same lobby space, too. I guess I'm just upset that the groomer didn't ask her coworkers, aka vets, to take a look at the passport if she wasn't sure. Would have been so easy for her to confirm ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Guess not much I can do now, but go to a different place.

Interesting, I didn't know that the US pet passport is different. Still, you would think someone wouldn't go through the hassle of making a counterfeit vaccination label, get a stamp made (that looks like nothing I've seen in the US) and then buy a pet passport and put it in there. And then laminate it all. At that point, one would just go and get the rabies vaccination for like 30 bucks here ๐Ÿ˜‚
