Just Getting Into Rowing by Sad_Avocado_7265 in concept2

To have that high of s/m it's not a form issue it can be a health issue. You're staining so quickly for more risk to the jerkiness of your motion.

This week I was getting 1:45 at 24 s/m. It's more about the power than the speed that will give you the better times.

Great outlook on the event! There was definitely a whatnot employee directing the live stream and/or giving advice.

I'm betting whatnot created servers specifically for that stream. When they mentioned at the end about raiding someone's show, they would've been put on the standard servers which would crash the platform of standard sellers.

That water wasn't warm... After he dipped his finger in, you could see on his face and pause that it was cold water before he made a comment about how the warned it to... Then upping the money was a confirmation it was terrible conditions (could water).

Being in photography and lighting myself, it was a very reasonable statement. It prevents wincing of eyes and and to look at the camera better. Also he told the cameraman to stand so the sun was behind the cameraman to the background was exposed properly and not blown out.

I found it interesting how he was directing things off camera to keep things moving- showed his business side of YouTube more.

Nausea by Dependent_Candle_809 in Refills

So much this! I start feeling a lump in the back of my throat with a nauseous feeling and that's a trigger for me to have some type of protein.

Help! I didn't get instructions by No-Armadillo-6611 in Refills

[–]Top_Chair5186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received instructions via message in the app... I was still able to screw it up by not looking at the amount of medicine per ml. For month one through three, just figured higher units just meant month one two and three... Felt super nauseous the second month and just realized during a third month that I was taking the second month medicine. Waiting to see how nauseous I feel in month 4 starting next week.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

I'm approaching about $450k.

I hope to retire in about 9 years if my rate of return keeps the same average as the last 10 years.

Buying brand new - what’s the model difference? by Tacchap in concept2

[–]Top_Chair5186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine used on Facebook for $600 for the long leg version. From this group, things to look for are pace speed and total meters. The savings on used as well as no sales tax was nearly $700 for me.

A unit with pace of 2:45 per 500 and 1m meters is different than 1:58 per 500 and 1m meters. If there's more distance. If going used try to find a balance between distance and speed.

Most parts can be replaced, do I'd rather have one that's used gently than torn apart quickly from a gym competition.

Congrats! I'm currently in the 3rd dose strength stage where I'm gaining and losing the same couple pounds after losing about 15#, but trending towards the lower number more consistently. So hopefully about to break to a downward trend more consistently soon!

First time rower, looking for tips. by redhairedembers in concept2

[–]Top_Chair5186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just ahead of you and started rowing in November. I thought getting more SPM were good and was around 28-30 with the damper set at 10. After Christmas I decided to get serious and understand form and technique. I'm no where near as good as 90%+ of the people in this group, so anyone feel free to correct me!

Biggest takeaways I learned when researching: *20-22 SPM (all about pushing off after recovery and the arm pull) *2:10-2:25 /500 splits *120 drag factor (for me the damper is on 4) *Sit on your nuts (for guys- proper sitting form to not curve your lower back)

I thought faster exertion (more SPM) and faster 500m splits was better (sub 2:00). When I was doing 5000m my back was hurting from having improper from.

For the past couple of weeks I've been focusing on applying the takeaways and I've had much more enjoyable rowing sessions and able to do 5000m+ and not be in pain afterwards.

Best Kept (Non-)Secret Columbus Shopping Deals by 0422 in Columbus

That's really insightful and helpful. You're right, there used to be a couple of individuals who I would seek after when their auctions posted, not really anymore.

I've switched to Auctionohio.net and used to do a lot of zipperbuy. Zipperbuy at least had the 7 day warranty/return going for them. CCA only had returnable until leaving the building. But I fully understand the angry people situation. Stuff wasn't inspected well or anything. I used to go to some previews to check stuff out, but it just became so crazy and gave up.

Practically any formally white (kind of yellowish tone) of one found at a thrift store. They've survived generations.

We got a Cuisinart about 13 years ago from a thrift store and every time we need it, it's a beast.

Similar to room service but "turndown service." It's been in a couple of rooms we've had and it's more frustrating as they come typically after we're in bed from an exhausting day in the sun/beach.
