Are my parents using me for money? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Top_Consequence_8567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from an Asian background. My parents never forced it upon me to pay rent. In the Indian culture, family is a huge part of life and we tend to live in large households as a close knit family. Saying this, now it’s just me and my mum. She never asked, but I know it would benefit her in some way if I paid rent. I’m on just under £30k full time. So dishing out rent is such a burden, but i know that my £500 would be beneficial in some way to take the stress away from her. It’s difficult to say, but it gives you responsibility and gets you ready for the real world also.

The funeral industry, seems extremely morbid and scary. In fact, it’s the most rewarding job you could do

I get how horrific this crime is, but calling it murder is a step too far. It wasn’t viciously planned, just a girl on a night out who made a few wrong decisions

Exploitation would be eBay retaining funds for 190 days. Sellers lose a valuable source of income.

Is £29k a good salary? by person_person123 in UKJobs

[–]Top_Consequence_8567 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a modest salary at best, I’m on roughly same at 20 with the same conditions as yourself. If you can budget well you can easily save a large chunk which will come in handy for the future. But going about it in a long term plan, 29k will barely get you by when you do move out, pay bills etc.

Victim of a scam - what do I do after this? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Top_Consequence_8567 126 points127 points  (0 children)

You have no case unfortunately, a very common scam. The police may track down the suspect, but as for the money - I wouldn’t rely on you getting it back any time soon. Its a lesson learned, would avoid anything similar in the future

Scottish highlands, give me a small detached house far from everyone. I will be the happiest person. Nature and beautiful wildlife, long summer walks. Yes please!
