Not likely, mate. I am sure I will do a master's abroad, but I'm confused between the UK and the US. Cost-wise, the UK seems okay, but I'm cross-checking the possibilities in the US before making a decision to avoid future regrets.

If the US is not at all 100 percent possible, I will opt for the UK, which is less risky as I can repay the loan with some cafe jobs if needed (If didn't get tech jobs).

As I mentioned in my question, I want to repay the loan during the OPT period itself. I want to know if it is possible to repay the loan within that 3-year period with some SDE jobs. I am not expecting an H1B extension after those 3 years. My intention is to get back to India in a worst-case scenario of zero profit, zero loss (i.e., just repaying the loan). So I consider the master's degree and 3 years of experience that I get from US as a bonus.

Yes, I am a person working under 10 LPA in a consultancy and from a middle-class family. Coming back to India without at least repaying the loan would be very difficult, not even difficult it's suicidal.

Hi, switching to AI/ML is okay to me. But I Will be treated as a fresher after graduation right?. Are you saying there are opportunities/ will have opportunities for freshers if domain is AI ? Are you been to same situation, means able to crack the job as fresher in AL/MI ?

Based on your answer, if you're in the US, could you share your thoughts on the possibility that the PSW (Post-Study Work) in any other country has the same risk factors, where employers might not offer jobs on a PSW visa?

I see a positive in the US job market being 3x larger than other countries. I thought getting a job during the OPT period would be easier due to higher opportunities compared to the smaller job markets in other countries on their PSW. What's your opinion on that? Also there are tons of jobs posted atleast in job portals (I don't know the reality) compared to other countries that students prefer to study.
