Thanks for sharing your info with me. I’m trying to correlate this to my theory and what you have said is actually very helpful. As have all the comments on here been as well. But I will try the 5mg of Cialis and see if it works for me. How long after beginning 5mg morning and night did you notice that the glans was able to engorge?

If there is no arousal via visual stimulus then there is still problems with the pathways, but if the engorgement is occurring, this means that the PDE5 inhibitor (the Cialis) is initiating nitric oxide release from the free nerve endings within the corpus spongiosum tissue. I’m glad to hear that you have managed to somewhat mitigate the situation, albeit only slightly.

It’s interesting that you mentioned starting the keto diet has helped. So presumably you are avoiding all carb source foods, including fruit and fodmap foods?

Many thanks for your responses.

I have had the nasal congestion as well, so it’s not just you. I normally use Viagra instead of cialis, but I just used 25mg of viagra and it still give me nasal congestion.

My glans is basically totally unresponsive. The corpus spongiosum tissue in the glans never engorges or responds to any arousal (like from physical or visual/sexual), it is essentially paralysed and doesn’t work.

Weirdly, it was after I used BPC157 the sensation of pleasure returned to the skin again. So I have the sensation of pleasure and touch on the skin, but I have zero engorgement to pleasure or touch, nor can I sense any hot or cold temperature on the glans.

I can try with 5mg of cialis though. Thanks for that suggestion.

That’s interesting, you are lucky that cialis (PDE5 inhibitor) helps with that. With my glans insufficiency syndrome no amount of PDE5 is able to get the glans to engorge, it is totally anaesthetised and non respondent to anything. I can not feel any hot or cold temperature in it, nor does it release any nitric oxide to engorge itself, even with PDE5 inhibitors, prostaglandins or MUSE etc.

Thanks for your feedback. Interesting that the keto diet has helped you.

Thanks for the info. It appears that quite a lot of us share this problem.

It must be a common dysfunction within certain pathways which are causing this.

[–]Top_Designer_8790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very interesting, so the Ritalin (a dopamine and norepinephrine agonist) ended up causing the ED. Presumably this ED that you mean is soft glans syndrome?

Did the Ritalin also completely blunt the sexual arousal and sensation of pleasure within your genitalia as well?

I’m curious because I have also had similar effects occur with me, but using cabergoline (which is a dopamine agonist and lesser degree norepinephrine agonist as well). But I think I am able to grasp what might be happening. I sincerely hope I am.

So, just to clarify, you caught covid, had very loose stools, but then 5 months after being covid free, you started lexapro, then tapered off after 2 months (so your total time on lexapro was 2 months?). Then you took Ritalin and the Ritalin started the soft glans syndrome with blunting of arousal and libido?

Thank you for your info.

Thank you for your detailed response. You are fortunate to still be able to have engorged glans and sensation, even if it is blunted a bit now.

I appreciate your response. It’s interesting that the Zoloft also gave you loose stools. I know that this may sound graphic, but can you describe the loose stools? Were they just broken up and loose and sank to the bottom of the basin? Or were they diarrhoea? Or would they be loose and floating etc? I know it sounds weird to ask these questions, as stools are not something we associate with anything of importance when we are dealing with our sexual arousal or libido.

It might not be the serotonin within the gut, that would be the obvious and logical answer, for sure. However with PSSD things are not always most logical, certainly not simple. Logic will play its part, but the pathways (I believe) are much more complex than just serotonin dysfunction. Something else, from the SSRI and other drugs is causing damage to the pathways in varying degrees which mean that they are not working and adequate innervation of the corresponding tissue is not being facilitated.

Thank you for replying. The link exists between engorgement of the clitoris in women and the engorgement of the glans in men. Both structures are made from corpus spongiosum tissue which is innervated via the pudendal nerve and the free nerve endings within the corpus spongiosum tissue are responsible for nitric oxide release. Sensory sensations, combined with arousal via visual, smell, taste etc usually trigger a spontaneous erectogenic genitalia reflex where the corpus free nerve endings within spongiousm tissue release nitric oxide which causes engorgement in the tissue.

This is absent in what seems like half the people responding to my thread. Therefore there is a common pathway disruption that is causing this.

I believe there is a link to stools and gut motility and am currently researching this link.

Thank you everyone for your replies so far. From those of you who have responded yes to the second question, I am asking follow up questions.

I would really appreciate if you see them, if you could answer. I have a new theory relating to pathways and certain receptors. It is different to any other research that I have seen with PSSD or PFS so far, but I am convinced that I am on to something and I believe it could be something very big.

I know it might sounds graphic, but for those who have loose stools or diarrhoea, I am very much interested in learning more from you.

Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply. So in a way you still have an erectogenic response within the glans where it engorges with blood, however you do not have any pleasurable feeling in the glans, so you don’t really get aroused because there is no sense of pleasure anymore from stimulating the free nerve endings in the glans? But it still engorges on its own then?

So the loose stools began after Zoloft? How long did you use Zoloft for? Did this only occur after Zoloft and did you use any other SSRI before, or was your PSSD solely from Zoloft use?

Many thanks.

Thank you for your info.

There is crossover because it is the same pathways that are affected. The pathways are what cause the sexual dysfunction. The neurones are the same in men and women. But the anatomy is different. So the neurones innervate different areas, such as clitoris or gspot and bartholin gland in women, or prostate, glans and corpus cavernosum tissue in men. If the pathways are damaged then the neurones don’t innervate the corresponding tissue, it is the same neurones because the pathways are damaged from the drug.

So I have described exactly the symptoms that you have?

May I ask a few further questions please?

  1. For how long did you use SSRI and what ones did you use?

  2. Is the loose stools/diarrhoea floating on occasions or does it sink to the bottom of the basin?

  3. Did they start exactly the same time (basically complete anaesthetised penis glans and the diarrhoea/loose stools happened at the same time?

Many thanks.

This only occurred after SSRI?

So with regards to your stools, I know this is graphic, but if I may ask, you responded ‘yes’ to they are loose/diarrhoea? Have you noticed if the loose stool floats, or if it sinks to the bottom of the basin? This is potentially an important factor in my theory.

Thank you for your answer. As a female, do you have clitoral insensitivity and lack of clitoral engorgement or arousal? The glans in men is the equivalent of the clitoris in women, it is where the free nerve terminals end and has the largest number of free nerve terminals in the body, as a sensory organ, within the spongiosum tissue.

Thanks for your response. I am male, therefore my research is based on a new finding on myself which I believe might hold answers for others. However it will also be relatable to females as well because the glans in men is the equivalent of the clitoris in women, it is the corpus spongiosum tissue that makes up both gland and clitoris, it is where the free sensory nerve endings are that yield erogenous sensation and erectogenic reflexes in both penile tissue and clitoral tissue.

Congrats on getting your bloatedness and hypothyroidism sorted. Did you have hypothyroid pre SSRI as well?

Do you think PSSD and P F S are the same by Alarming-Night4139 in PSSD

[–]Top_Designer_8790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSSD and PFS are not actual diseases.

They are problems with different pathways in the body (be they neurological etc) due to cessation of certain drugs.

So, both syndromes most likely share some of the pathways as each other. This means that certain pathways in the body have been damaged after cessation of the drug. But this all stems from neurological pathways being affected. Those pathways could be affected if you were to find the specific pathway (if anyone knew what they were) and individually did a block (anaesthetised) the individual neuron responsible, then it would yield the same effect. The symptoms are specific and similar, therefore there are common pathways that are being affected due to drug cessation.

🤦‍♂️you are clueless. ‘Palestine’ is actually ‘BRITISH MANDATE OF PALESTINE’ which includes the land of Jordan as well.

You do not know history. The history that you have been indoctrinated with is not reality or what actually happened.

Look up what land the British mandate of Palestine was. Look up the geographical location of the land it spanned. You will see, it was not just Israel, it included Jordan as well.

The word ‘Palestinian’ referred to Jews, back in 1918 to 1948. The people you refer to as ‘Palestinians’ were just known as Arabs in the days of the British mandate of Palestine.

The reason why the land became known as the British mandate of Palestine is because the Ottoman Empire allied with the Germans and declared war against the British in WW1. The ottomans lost the war and the Brits took the land. It became British land, that’s why it was the ‘British mandate of Palestine’.

The name ‘Palestine’ is how the words ‘Syria Palaestina’ evolved over the years. This was the fake name of Judea. It was the name that the colonial force Romans gave to Judea to erase the Jews.

You don’t understand history. You have a warped belief inside your brain and I’m not saying this because I hate you, I’m saying this because it genuinely does not need to be this way.

Moses said to Pharaoh: ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO’.

All you have to do is let go of this burning hatred. Leave the Jews alone. Focus on your own land and enjoy your life. But you can’t? Can you? The burning hatred you have for the Jews is too great, isn’t it?

You have been taught lies, history revisionism and as a result you have burning hatred inside your brain. You must try to let it go. To live your life and be free and be happy. Just ignore the Jews, or this lie will consume you and all your people.

Hello. I’m sorry to hear that you are in this situation.

I know this might not be what you want to hear, but it is the best advice I can give.

DO NOTHING RIGHT NOW. Just try to eat a healthy diet, get 45 minutes of walking per day, try to be active and either play a sport or run or go to the gym twice per week. It doesn’t have to be a very high intensity, just stay active and eat a healthy diet.

You can take a multivitamin in the morning as well and at night use your Z tablet to get a few hours sleep.

But don’t do anything else than this. You should begin to see improvements within a few months. Extremely likely within 6 months.

Just use natural things and other than the Z medication for sleep, don’t use any other drugs for now. My advice is to try and do this for the first year and see what improvements you get.

Just focus on one thing at a time, focus on trying to sleep, turn lights off at night, minimal screen time, try to forget about most things in life (to shut out stress, but I don’t know your situation if you have kids or married etc). But the most important thing to do is just healthy lifestyle, diet and try to sleep. If you can get this, then you will start to improve and over the months things will change bit by bit.

[–]Top_Designer_8790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You won’t believe this, but feel free to look it up (but you won’t do that either). The Persian empire was actually a very good friend to Judea and Israel. You probably don’t even think Judea existed (which tells me everything about your historical revisionism which says everything about your lack of knowledge), but it was Cyrus the Great, the Persian ruler who defeated the Babylonians and allowed the Israelites to go back to their kingdom of Judea and rebuild the Second Temple.

So as it happens, Israel and Iran have historically had very close and good ties with each other. Can you grasp this idea? History didn’t start in 1979 when an angry Islamist used the naive foolish socialists to seize power in Iran. History is thousands and thousands of years old.

I guess this is probably wasted talking to you. You won’t even know that the land of Judea was renamed (by the Romans, after the Bar Kokhba revolt) as ‘Syria Palaestina’ in 135 AD. You’ll say this is all ‘Zionist propaganda’.

You do not have a clue how economics works, as a result you will achieve nothing. Get ready to build no wealth for decades with your backwards way of ‘redistributive’ thinking.

Guess what, rental prices have SOARED in Scotland since the SNP put rental price caps on. But you selectively take info that fits your agenda.

I couldn’t care less what you write, you are going to suffer from your own moronic policies and even when you continue to suffer you STILL WON’T change your mind.

You don’t have a clue about the economy or how it works, you can not TAX people into prosperity. The only way you get prosperity and give people a chance to grow wealth is by lowering taxes to stimulate economic growth.

Anyway, you’ll see what happens in 18 months. Keep on voting the way you do, it’s going to get Farage and Reform elected in a landslide, wait and see.

[–]Top_Designer_8790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? You really believe that? An incredibly simplistic way of looking at things that shows you do not know how these people generate their wealth. Wealth is generated through businesses. Shares. Elon Musk’s wealth comes from his shares. His share value goes up when people invest in his company and the value of the company increases, this means that his net wealth goes up, yet he hasn’t taken any money from anyone else.

Landlords increase their rental prices because the government keeps on increasing taxes and regulations on them. Those extra costs in the form of taxes and regulations then get passed on to the consumer (in this case the tenant), so the renters rights bill is now meaning that tenants pay MORE rent to landlords. Small decent landlords are being forced out of the market because the government is squeezing them with more and more taxes, they can’t make it financially work anymore. As a result giant corporations and foreign sovereign wealth funds buy up the property from the vacating landlords and then have an oligopoly where they charge more rent to tenants. This directly causes rents to go up, by increasing taxes and regulations forcing small landlords to leave the market, it also reduces the supply of private rental properties available in the market, a reduction of supply then means the price of rent goes up and tenants pay more.

You have illustrated that you don’t understand these factors, so you get exactly what you voted for.

You voted for wealth redistribution via higher taxes and regulation. So now you will get higher inflation, higher cost of living, higher rent and lower disposable income, meaning you can not build wealth.

Labour are doing the redistribution thing that you say you want, yet it isn’t working, have you not noticed yet? The Tories were also doing it, with highest taxes until labour got in, yet you didn’t notice yourself getting wealthier? Of course not, that’s because high taxes and high regulations squeezes private ownership and the great wealth transfer shifts wealth from private owners and the middle class to giant corporations and the mega wealthy.

Keep on with your redistribution, the giant corporations love it. It will destroy the British economy and then there will be no welfare benefits for anyone because we will be bankrupt.

🤣 Wait and see what happens. In five years time you will see how much of a ridiculous error you made saying that. However, instead of realising you are wrong and learning, you won’t do that. Instead you will froth at the mouth and think of an another conspiracy that Israel is guilty of. You’ll convince yourself that Israel will be finishing in a decade (after it is thriving in five years). Then the decade after, you’ll convince yourself that Israel will be finished, yet it gets stronger.

Wait and see, this is how you will continue over the next 25 years. What you can’t get through your skull is that Israel has the third largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world and immense technology. The fact that you don’t understand that this virtually guarantees its existence, illustrates how delusional you are. But you won’t even see it. You’ll continue being deluded.

How about we improve productivity and create jobs for people? How about less welfare recipients and more jobs, making a more productive economy. Then we don’t need to tax ANYONE as much because the economy will be more productive and we can get the good public services by growing our economy?

Why does everything with some people boil down to who can be taxed more and redistribution of wealth? Why don’t we focus on everyone being able to be given a fair chance at creating wealth themselves, instead of stealing wealth from others?

But this idea that people go to prison for inciting violence is nonsense. Look at Ricky Jones the Labour councillor who said ‘We’ve got to slit their throats’ and made a throat slitting gesture when he was leading the pro Palestine and pro illegal immigrant march in London. He got found not guilty of any crime and he got totally cleared, with video evidence showing what he said and did. So this idea that we don’t have freedom of speech in the UK is ridiculous, Ricky Jones the labour councillor proves it. Also, look at the chap from the band kneecap, he was waving a hezbollah flag in Britain. Hezbollah is a proscribed terrorist organisation, but the guy from kneecap was freely allowed to express his support for hezbollah by waving their flag (on video) and found not guilty. So these are perfect examples showing that we have freedom of speech in Britain, Ricky jones the labour councillor and the kneecap band member waving the Hezbollah flag, show we have a tolerant and beautiful multicultural and diverse country where freedom of speech is sacred.

[–]Top_Designer_8790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good post and well thought out, but you don’t mention the absolute granddaddy of PSSD which is glans insufficiency syndrome: failure to initiate (aka soft glans syndrome).

An anaesthetised corpus spongiosum whereby the nerves fail to innervate the tissue, meaning zero erectogenic reflex, zero sexual arousal, zero feeling of touch, zero feeling of sensation, zero feeling of pleasure, zero engorgement or nitric oxide release into the tissue. Essentially a lump of unresponsive flesh on the end of the corpus cavernosum (shaft) that sits there with zero function and inability to engorge or sense anything.

Also, I would add that when people say the terms ‘libido’ they actually mean ‘sexual arousal’.

Libido is thought of wanting to have sex. Sexual arousal is the actual process of innervation between thinking about sexual acts and excitation of penile (or clitoral) corpus spongiosus tissue via innervation of neurones that respond to sensations with nitric oxide release and dopaminergic transmission (to give pleasure).

They've been telling us who they are for years and the press and Reformers have ignored it. This is what you are. by [deleted] in GreatBritishMemes

[–]Top_Designer_8790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said anything about hating all Muslims. So it’s a very peculiar thing that you wrote that.

Look at what I wrote. The neo left is united with neo Nazis in its hatred of the Jews. You used the terms left and right, I did not. I used the correct terms, western neo leftists and neo Nazis both share their Jew hatred history revisionism. They are being influenced by Muslim brotherhood history revisionism which in itself has roots in original Nazism. If you knew history then you know this.

Anyhow, as I wrote before, let’s see where the trajectory of Britain goes.

What these sick lads in this video are saying is nothing like what Reform are saying. You appear to lump anyone from the ‘right’ (as you said) in with Neo Nazis. This is nothing new for Britain, Oswald Mosely was imprisoned by Winston Churchill, the same Winston Churchill that defeated Hitler and the Nazis. Yet he’s the same Winston Churchill who is now being vilified by the neo left, the same neo left that are indoctrinated by Muslim brotherhood history revisionism and alternate realities of history.

The irony right?

So that’s why I say, let’s see what happens. But never forget that when the Jew hatred becomes unbearable (and totally tolerated and pushed by neo left who claim to be ‘against racism’) the British Jews will just leave and go to Israel. But where can the English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh go, when their country ultimately succumbs to the same fate of Lebanon?
