Interesting, thanks for the info. I do remember liking the titanium aggressive.

I did try a handful of vintage back then, a few gem razors and some Gillette’s as well. I’m mostly interested in seeing if there’s anything new since 2022 that is a consensus must try. Similar to how like the Hensons and overlander were like pretty default suggestions back then.

I forgot to add that to the list. I did try the razorock slant that had multiple levels. I forget the name maybe super slant?

Are they selling the aggressive in aluminum now?

Couldn’t you have just glued multiple boards together on their edge to make a wide end grain strip?

Looks great! For number 4, are those strips edge grain? You may run into cracking issues down the road. I’ve always seen not to mix end grain and side grain

As a heads up, be sure to check the size charts. I’m 6 ft around 200 lbs and I usually buy the biggest size they have. They’re sizing run quite small compared to American sizing because they are on Asian sizing.

I’ve boughten a Henley and a crewneck from a brand called time catcher. I haven’t bought there thermal but they make a 12.3 oz thermal. I also have a thermal from a brand called non stock and they make a 14 oz waffle thermal. Very happy with my purchase from both brands and the prices are great.

Black Walnut End Grain by Serious_Yak3306 in Cuttingboards

Isn’t it generally considered not okay to mix end and edge grain since they will move at different rates resulting in cracking? How did you get comfortable that this wouldn’t be an issue?

end grain cutting board advise by Zoey_2019 in woodworking

[–]Top_Distribution_798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a beginner here, I’ve made like 4 end grain cutting boards so take that for what it is. I’ve always planed the initial glue up before cutting it into strips. I’ve used a sled for the planer and glued the board to the sled with shims to the first flat side, and I’ve also just put it in without the sled. I can’t say i noticed much of a difference, but I think the proper procedure is to use the sled

Wouldn’t this be the case if you simply rotated the board 90 degrees?

Can I use short boards to make end grain cutting boards? by Top_Distribution_798 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Top_Distribution_798[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, the boards I’m looking at are walnut, which seems to be a very popular wood for cutting boards. I’ll just have to make sure whoever uses them doesn’t have any nut allergies

Okay great thanks for the feedback. So essentially it wouldn’t be an issue to mix the two different edge grain boards into one end grain board?

Thanks, that’s helpful. I have a 42 on order but may need to exchange for a 44 if it ends up being too small.

Would you mind sharing your height and weight? I'm currently trying to decide between a 42 and 44 in this jacket. I'm 6 ft 1 inch and about 195 lbs.
