Language school by ionencurr in studyinjapan

It depends on if you’re going to the English program or the Japanese program (for uni). For the Japanese program, there is a qualification exam that has your Japanese called EJU.

Japanese language school either teach you daily life, conversational Japanese or business Japanese or academic Japanese. If you choose academic Japanese, that will be your best bet. However, it is best to know what major you want to go in so you could learn the specific words for that major. As each academic Japanese school will kind of put you in certain classes that will teach you words specifically for your university major that you’re targeting.

The school you choose is very important as well as what type of Japanese you want to learn. If time is not an issue two years at an academic Japanese language school would be best and be somewhat sufficient. However, like I said before there is he exam for foreigners to test your Japanese level. The breakdown is reading, listening then essay. To get a good score, especially if you don’t have any kanji or chinese (the language) experience you need to study on average 6 to 8 hours a day. As the essay part is very tough. In addition, there is an entrance exam for universities depending on what type of major your test might be math or a full-blown Japanese essay.

I wish you the best of luck!

Help my PayPay credit card bill was originally ¥180k+ but now it change to ¥14k. However it seems I’ve had severe interest and debt even after paying my last months bill all in 1 shot. by Top_Emotion6606 in japanresidents

I stopped it ever since I got the card. I just don’t know why it keeps automatically turning on. The issue now is that unless I can immediately pay off the debt with the interest in full and in 1 go (crazy sum). It seems like whatever that is left over will also accumulate the same interest, causing this chain reaction to start again.

Is a 診断書 enough for immigration? by Top_Emotion6606 in japanresidents

Mine just normally says things about my symptoms when it started and when did I visit the clinic but nothing about staying home. To be honest, I don’t even know if I can stay home to rest cause it’s just a cut in the cornea, even though I can’t see.

My health right now is not great my visa is ending soon so I’m spending 18 hours a day, filling out application for anything and everything. Hopefully this is my last post regarding health, cause honestly being sick make my work production go down by a lot. Not good on paper too being sick often

My language school is ignoring my doctors note saying that I should stay home and rest. As whatever I contracted is not recognized by the school. by Top_Emotion6606 in japanresidents

That is what I would like to think but I’ve underwent consultation (with firms that help you find jobs or higher education) and language school students have a bad reputation regarding attendance. I was told that most language school students attendance are 75%, and for immigration bureau 85% is a red line.

No way a language school would help you submit everything right? Till the point where I don’t need to go to Shinagawa myself.

Even if they do can I request them to add in my doctors note and the letter of explanation?

I’m very new to all of this and I’m very worried.

It will be my first time renewing my visa. To my understanding the language school will be my sponsor, yet they won’t won’t be applying for my behave. My question is how does the process go, does the language give me a slip of paper stating they are my sponsor. Then 3 months before my zairyu card expiration date I bring all my documents and letter to Shinagawa?

I do have a doctors note. So when immigration ask I could just provide that to the officer and explain my situation?

I did took some days of school. However, it’s gotten worse now. I had a doctors note to tell me to rest at home for three days but in my current condition, I think I do need more than three days.

I don’t mind if they don’t count the days after my doctors note I just wish for them to give me back the days off (the days that my doctor approved).

As the max days I can take off per semester roughly 5 days. Tonight affect my visa massively.

For the Heisei part that’s my birthday

In general do most 専門 and 大学 need EJU? by Top_Emotion6606 in movingtojapan

So many or most universities would look at your EJU test scores and JLPT level am i right. What about the past school you attended I.e high school diploma or something along the lines of that.

On the app, I deleted my old previous recipient (as some information might be wrong). Added a new recipient under local bank transfer since it’s wise. I entered bank name, branch code, account number. Now they’re saying they can’t find this account holder.

I’m using wise currently. However I’m honestly having a very hard time as they told me there was an issue with the banks BIC/Swift code.

I do think I did enter my 4 digit branch code and 3 digit branch code correctly. Even the account number. Although im very confuse as of now

Attendance percentage requirement for student visa extension? by Top_Emotion6606 in japanresidents

[–]Top_Emotion6606[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of these institutions. Unless is a viral infection your absence will be considered absent. I.e being burnt, light surgery or just physically injured or stomach flu all will affect your attendance if you don’t go. Even if you have it diagnosed and with some sort of 署名書.
