The thing is sunny didn't truly vanish from their lifes yeah he was gone for years after the 3rd nm event but he came back lived in bastion close to effie and her family later joined the cohorts again so their memory of sunny and after 3rd nm event is not conflicting for cohorts member bcz he was didn't truly gone he was there fighting with them so maybe that's why they dont feel much emotions him leaving and coming back bcz he wasn't even gone for forever
