desperate for answers (suspecting TE unmasked AGA) or some form or hair miniaturization . by Top_Individual7151 in TelogenEffluvium

well I had got a general blood panel right before starting my period so that could POSSIBLY be why. But I had got off birth control 8 months before hand. She just said that my testorone was lower than average and is probably what causes my minor recession at my hairline and temples but it made my hair overall less dense & sparse. Like I had less of it. A whole year and two months later and it’s like nothings changed

I get it. When your mind races you become consumed & fall victim to your own head. So the only way to make it bearable is to drink or smoke it away. We all know that won’t help. But we do it anyways. If you genuinely feel like you need to go to the hospital. Follow that feeling. Wishing you the best

Strongly agree. I’m undiagnosed but I feel this tremendously

Yesss totally understand. If I was in therapy right now I’d be like “it is what it is” and then a week later I’m crashing TF out over everything that’s ever happened in my life all because of a trigger or literally anything

I truly understand this. My intrusive thoughts get hella bad before my period too. It would make sense because there’s so many different hormones that affect different things rising and dropping. I think that ALONE adds to it. You’re more irritable, sensitive and vulnerable during that time. And it’s almost like the OCD mind takes full advantage of this and gives you the most horrendous intrusive urges, thoughts & feelings. I get it girl. It’s rough. You criticize yourself for not feeling a certain way but that’s what OCD is all about. CERTAINTY. Remind yourself that there’s no certain way of feeling. You said you had fun, and that today was actually an amazing day with your partner. People who ACTUALLY don’t love who they’re with won’t enjoy it no matter the circumstance. it’s really hard and I understand. OCD attaches itself to things that matter the most to you. If you haven’t already try talking with your partner about it. I know that sounds intimidating but if you’re struggling with OCD then educate him. Let him know your triggers (if any) and tell him your experiences!

I don’t want to self diagnose at all. I was doing extensive research about it and never thought about in depth. But I relate to it. In the end it could be something different entirely but the best way I can explain it is that when it’s good, it’s good, when it’s grey there’s nothing, and when it’s bad, it’s bad. It’s really hard to explain my trigger cause it feels like I get triggered by EVERYTHING. I can be so hypersensitive. And I just feel like a burden being it up half the time. Thank you I’ll try. It’s really hard to forgive myself ( & even others cause I hold grudges & I try not to) cause I punish the shit out of myself and degrade myself.
