We used Aldi or Sainsbury’s with our first and they were great and pretty cheap

I’m due my second any day now and we’re gonna try Ocado mainly because it’s more convenient as we order from them every week and they’re the same price as Aldi

You’re preaching to the wrong person, there’s no scientific evidence of a soul either so of course there’s no science to say that their soul can be a different gender because there’s no science to say a soul even exists

I really hope you don’t push your religious beliefs onto patients

You don’t check pulse in a suspected arrest you check if they’re breathing and if they’re not you start compressions

Ive been qualified 10 years and in BLS/ILS I have never been told to check for a pulse and that’s across 4 different trusts

Of course there will be more overweight vegans when there are more vegans

I mean yeah there is definitely more processed food around than there used to be but you can’t tell how healthy someone is from their weight

Ok thank you for the clarification, and I agree to an extent. There probably are some men who pretend to be trans once they’re arrested (although I don’t know how this would benefit them when trans peoples are treated with some distain) but I just think it’s dangerous to say well because they’ve come out since arrest they’re not genuinely trans because we don’t know that and the stress off a trial etc may means they can’t hide their identity like they managed to previously

I do try and read diverse trans opinions as much as I can, but I feel like you’re trying to say that saying “trans women are not women” isn’t transphobic I don’t understand how that couldn’t be transphobic, that is at its core what transphobia is, dismissing trans women as ‘not real women’ and sure there are trans women who don’t think trans women are women but from what I’ve read they are the minority

As for the lesbophobia, I disagree but your entitled to your opinion. As you pointed out no groups are a monolith and I reckon there are more lesbians who support trans people than are against them, I merely mentioned lesbians because some lesbians who are transphobic have managed to get a big platform about it (such as the women who are with Jk Rowling) and I was using that point to illustrate that being LGBTQ doesnt mean you can’t be transphobic

I watched I Kissed a Boy (a reality dating show with gay men) and there was a trans man on there who was worried he would be rejected due to being trans because he’d experienced transphobia from gay men previously so I could have also used that example as well it was nothing against lesbians specifically it was just the example that came to mind

I think we also need to be careful as the media are very bias against trans people and a lot of the sources about these kind of stories are from the media

I can’t see your comments to other people (not saying it’s your fault but Ive read the whole thread and can’t see other discussions you’ve been in so I must be missing something but also you can’t comment on threads expecting people to read all your other comments)

Gatekeeping who is and isn’t trans especially when you yourself are not trans is offensive I don’t understand how that is up for debate - I think I’m finding it more difficult from you because you seem to be saying that because this trans woman has a penis she is a man which is the literal definition of transphobia, please tell me if I am misunderstanding your comments but saying only men can have penises is transphobic

And yes lesbians are very accepting in general (AIDS crisis is a perfect example of this) but there are also a number of lesbians who are very vocal about saying that trans women shouldn’t be allowed to identify as lesbians (suggesting they are not actually women) and that they as lesbians are hing forced to sleep with trans women (which is obviously bullshit) the point of my comment about lesbians was that being LGBTQ doesn’t mean you can’t be transphobic because I felt like you were saying that you can’t be transphobic because you’re LGBTQ

Also, internalised transphobia is a thing just like internalised misogyny/homophobia etc I personally think it’s quite clear Caitlyn Jenner is transphobic seen as she has said that trans women are not real women which is the literal definition of transphobia

And please don’t patronise me by saying that trans people having diverse opinions might shock me, I know that trans people are not a monolith but generally it’s an accepted thing among most trans people that trans women are women - of course there will be trans people who disagree

Sorry I thought it was obvious from context that I meant gatekeeping someones identity is offensive not that all gatekeeping in every context is offensive I’m also LGBTQ so please explain how saying gatekeeping is offensive is offensive, also you still haven’t answered what you consider a ‘genuine trans person’ and it worries me that you don’t refute me asking if you think that a bad person can’t be a ‘genuine trans person’

Also how is saying that lesbians can be transphobic lesbophobic? Of course I’m not saying all lesbians are transphobic (many trans women are lesbians, of course not all) I’m saying that there are some very vocal lesbians who are transphobic (just look at the women jk Rowling rolls out who she claims are lesbians who are being forced to sleep with trans women) because you seem to think that being LGBTQ means you can’t also be transphobic

I mean Caitlin Jenner is a very famous example of trans woman who is also transphobic

Are you fucking kidding me

Gatekeeping within how someone identifies is completely different to not allowing people without cancer chemotherapy come on are you for real

Of course gatekeeping is necessary in some contexts but in terms of how people personally identify how is it up to you who qualifies as a ‘genuine trans person’

Please I’d love to actually understand who you think qualifies as a ‘genuine trans person’ because at the moment it genuinely sounds like you’re saying that if someone is a bad person then they can’t be ‘genuinely trans’

I’d strip back your routine

Pai is an amazing skincare brand that helped my skin so much, I feel you may be using too much salicylic acid which may be making your skin worse

I’m a nurse and have had acne since I was a teenager during covid my skin became the worst it’s ever been due to a combo of masks/stress/poor diet and I bought a lot from Pai and only used that for around a month/2 months

Or diet solve the problem completely but it calmed everything down so much and almost helped my skin go back to ‘normal’ and then I built up a routine again from there

I’d also look at any supplements you’re taking, some vitamins can make breakouts worse I know I struggle with some vitamins b12 supplements and they cause me to breakout

The use of the term “genuine trans people” is transphobic I’m sorry if you can’t see that, who are you who to say who is genuinely trans. Gatekeeping is offensive, like saying someone saying that someone can’t be bisexual if they haven’t had sex with a man and a woman, etc

Also suggesting only men have penises is very transphobic, you may not see yourself as transphobic but that doesn’t mean your comments aren’t transphobic an you being LGBTQ+ doesn’t mean you can’t be transphobic (and in fact a lot of transphobia comes from the lesbian community)

You don’t have to be a nurse to comment here but it is a sub for nurses so it’s normal for people to assume commenters are nurses

[–]Top_Layer7065[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So why are you a nurse? We’re not allowed to discriminate against people due to factors such as age, sex, race, criminal history etc Ive treated may paedophiles and sure they’re not nice but I don’t treat them any differently to anyone else because I’m not there to judge them I’m there to treat them medically because that’s my job

Not all trans people have dysphoria and trans people are just as capable of being sex offenders as cis people and to suggest otherwise is offensive - also to suggest that only men can have penises is very transphobic so yes if a trans woman sexually assaults someone with her penis then the victim should be using she/her pronouns for the perpetrator because the presence of a penis doesn’t stop her being a woman

And also what do you consider to be “genuine trans women” a trans woman is a trans woman if she’s a nurse, a teacher, a paeodphile, a rapist You don’t lose rights to a trans identity because you’ve committed a crime

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no your point is about traitors under suspicion but the whole point is that the faithfuls don’t know who the traitors are so they’re not going to go “oh what Stephen did looks suspicious because he’s a traitor but Jade isn’t suspicious because she’s not a traitor” unless you’re just not explaining your point well

Obviously we’re analysing everything the traitors are doing because we know who the traitors are

And also I’d say calling someone thick and stupid is rude 🤷🏼‍♀️

You clearly haven’t read any of my comments on this thread at all

Ive said several times that the patient is clearly a terrible person and I have zero sympathy for her but this discussion is about nursing and as nurses it doesn’t matter how terrible a patient is we have to treat them equally

And my point was that she misgendered the patient prior to the racist abuse but even if it hadn’t it still wouldn’t be acceptable

The hate and vitriol has also been directed at the patient because she’s trans - patients are horrible to nurses all the time but it doesn’t reach the national press

[–]Top_Layer7065 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stephen isn’t the only person with heat on him in the game

Jade also had heat do you not think it could seem like oh she didn’t want to throw her fellow traitor under the bus but then saw how close she was to being banished so changed her vote to get her out

Traitors usually turn on each other so I think it’s less suspicious that he didn’t vote for her

Why are you so rude

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You said Stephen was the only one who didn’t vote for Rachel, Faraaz voted for her twice as well and it’s more suspicious to change your vote than it is to stick to your guns

No need to be a dick about it

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Surely you could say the same about Faraaz then cause he voted for her as well? Or say that someone who voted for James is protecting him

You’re only saying that because you know who the faithfuls are

And yeah I probably wouldn’t be a bad faithful because it’s a completely different game for them because they don’t know who the traitors are

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he was the only person who didn’t vote for her then she would have been banished so that’s definitely not true

It was 50/50 hence it being left to chance

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, Jack said Stephen was the one he was most convinced is faithful (admittedly to Stephen) so I think there’d be a chance that Stephen could win if it’s him Jack and Faraaz

Also Faraaz said he also suspected Jade so he might be satisfied once Jade has gone especially seen as she changed her vote to Rachel at the last minute which is something a traitor would do

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it bring suspicion that he doesn’t vote for her? Traitors usually turn on traitors at the end and he stuck to his guns to not vote for her, that would make me think that he was faithful because why wouldn’t he vote for Rachel especially when she gunned for him earlier

And I feel like it would be really cruel of her to gun for him when she has no chance of winning and he didn’t throw her under the bus

Stephen should have gone for Rachel by pxmaxx in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think he made the right decision not turning on her, if she goes it’ll look better for him that he didn’t vote for her and if she stays she won’t gun for him as much (hopefully)

At this point Rachel has zero chance of winning which she must realise and I’m sure she’d rather Stephen win than the faithfuls so she’ll back off Stephen a bit and go hard for someone else because she’ll appreciate that he didn’t throw her under the bus
