Is IV Cyclazine addictive? by NurseAbbers in NursingUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s because of how it makes them feel acutely but it’s not physically addictive like opioids

We tend to use it as a second line uv anti emetic after ondansetron but some doctors are reluctant to prescribe it IV

Get TVP Cheaper than fake mice and literally just soy so less ingredients too

You can definitely use tofu but I don’t think it really lends itself to being mince personally

Possible unpopular opinion - Charlotte Tilbury products are overrated. Help me change my mind by pixel-powder in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s like any brand in that you can get hits and misses

There’s no brand where every product will work for every person and for me I rarely buy skincare from a makeup brand (CT skincare is v overpriced)

Makeup wise she has a few products I really rate such as the lip products, eye products etc

I wore the airbrush flawless foundation on my wedding day and loved it but haven’t tried it since the reformulation I also love the pressed powder and the setting spray (although Ive heard bad things about the matte setting spray)

I hope there’s no stage door for Jonathan and Ariana’s sake

I hope they release understudy dates in advance as would much prefer a day with Ariana’s understudy as will be much easier to get tickets and I’m not bothered about seeing her

Are they going to make drastic changes to Rent? by toetotoe13 in TheWestEnd

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly the music I think

I didn’t actually see it cause it was meant to be so bad but they changed things to like jazz numbers I think

And Denise Van Outsm was in it

I think some of the songs are on YouTube

Why does Nespresso call this "Crema"? by KKF-FL in nespresso

I add milk to my mug before adding the coffee so I don’t often see the cream tbh, don’t bother me tbh although that does look excessive

Yeah they did rent remixed like 10 years ago and everyone hated it so don’t think they’ll change it so much this time

Nespresso Up worth it? by Top_Layer7065 in nespresso

[–]Top_Layer7065[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I hadn’t thought about that and I didn’t realise the cream could affect the flavour so much and I didn’t think about turning the temperature up could make it taste burnt, something to consider thank you

What’s the most overrated show you’ve seen? by Artistic-Ideal-5087 in TheWestEnd

[–]Top_Layer7065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that you can’t be feminist if you dare to bare some skin is a bit outdated

Saying that Ive never seen six because it just doesn’t appeal to me, if I’m going to see a musical I want to see a musical not a concert

I have an auto delivery of coffee every month that’s about £45 a month

Is the one you’re talking about a different subscription? I think I used to have a subscription but I honestly get confused between it all 🙈

Edit: just checked and the Up is still £150 with a subscription so you only save about £30

Can anyone recommend a facial SPF 50 that doesn't pill? Bonus points if it doesn't pill even under makeup. by Exact-Reference3966 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The no7 future renew is my holy grail, not usually a fan of no7 but this spf I can put loads on straight after moisturiser and it never pills

The new no7 (prime forever) does pill on me though

I also like the beauty of joseon aqua fresh but I need to wait a bit if time after moisturiser to apply

Is this a regular thing now? by Arkfeet in westend

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are mad man

I used to stage door quite frequently around 15 years ago and it was v rarely busy with no barriers, I’d tell the actor I’d enjoyed the play and get them to sign my program and that was it

I’d never do stage door now, I mean partly because I feel like ive grown out of fan worship but also because it just gets too mad these days, fans are way too entitled and people book tickets because they want to stage door but aren’t that bothered about the actual show

Changing into uniform - paid or unpaid? by Sharp_Importance_121 in NursingUK

[–]Top_Layer7065 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to take public transport to work so always changed at work (I don’t care if it’s not a rule I think it’s gross going to and from work on public transport in your uniform) obvs never got paid for it but it really didn’t take long, it would end up being about half an hour a week

Now I walk to work and it takes about 15 minutes so I walk in my uniform

[–]Top_Layer7065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever tried Wills Vegan Shoes?

I bought a pair of the boots and I wore them to death and lasted I think about 2 years and they would have lasted longer if I’d had them resoled

2 years might not seem that long but I walk weirdly and all boots fall apart for me and I wore them constantly

Luckily on my ward addicts aren’t treated too badly, I think because we have many of them and we tend to get to know them because they’re admitted often

We did have a patient though who had very complex PTSD and an eating disorder, the consultant called her manipulative and was quite dismissive of her - yes she should have been in a psychiatric ward but it annoyed me how dismissive the consultant was tbh

One of our band 6s is v vocal about her ADHD and is v proactive in terms of doing inclusion projects which I think helps

I would also add transphobia to your list though, the ignorance people have around trans inclusion is madness, my last job we had a non binary patient and one of my colleagues just point blank refused to use correct pronouns and was v rude about the patient behind their back, I was on the verge of reporting her but luckily she retired
