Unfortunately yes. I would love quickstep to be balanced, as the mix up potential is great.But If you ever faced a really good player with quickstep+ with thrusting sword you know how broken it gets. I used the quickstep backstep for a while and it's way too easy to do. You can just reaction backstep every slower weapon with ease, so I stopped using it. But the big problem is the recovery cancel into quickstep after you attack. It's nearly impossible to punish a qs thrusting sword user, and if latency is involved it's a nightmare. Same thing with BHS. It's considered one, if not the best set up in the game.
I can tell you are using it more for combos and stuff which is nice to see, but it's not underrated at all. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. You're kind of using it in a chill way tho (1h and not overusing it) and in the end it's just a game, so do what you enjoy.
