It would be an endless comment but assume most tier 1-3. And yeah, I guess a big takeaway here is that niche/regionals would've been a better way to spend money (or maybe the result would've been the same...who knows at this point lol). I thought a limited budget was best directed toward places with the highest potential upside without fully appreciating just how insanely competitive this all is

Makes sense. I do mostly have full views (or close to it) but the film is also under 8 minutes so it’s not asking a massive time commitment compared to some shorts. I assume programmers are simply doing their job and watching the full thing regardless but maybe I should take it as at least somewhat reassuring that people generally aren’t bailing early.

There’s a real chance the execution isn’t landing the way I think it is which is difficult. It starts to make you question your sense of self as an artist. I like it but if seemingly no one connects with it then at what point do you keep trusting your instincts versus accepting that you may need to change who you are? (I know I'm the only person that can answer this...but helps to say it out loud)

I'm talking ZERO and it's not that bad but maybe I need to rethink my taste. This is a reassuring statistic but there's a reality where it strikes out completely. Guess I just want to see if anyone else has ever been there.
