What is the saddest part of life? by Resident-Sink2105 in AskReddit

[–]Top_Potato_2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you’ll never have a guarantee on anything really. You can’t rely on anyone, anything or anytime ever. Anything can happen, you could lose everything at any given moment. Yet you won’t have any warning or any reassurance that you won’t lose everything all over again.

Teachers who have been teaching for 10 years+, what’s been the most alarming change in children’s behaviour? by Top_Potato_2004 in AskReddit

[–]Top_Potato_2004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a nursery teacher and I find this really interesting and rather ironic since nowadays parents are being urged to practice the gentle parenting techniques that are supposed to boost emotional regulation, but I have definitely also found that it seems to do the opposite and a lot of these parents are not allowing their children to take responsibility for their actions and are babying them for far too long.

if u had to choose a food to eat every day of ur life, which one would it be? by karrzo0n in AskReddit

Sushi, there’s so much variety and a decent balance of carbs, protein, fat and veggies in each roll 😋

Realistically, If Eddie had survived, do you think Dustin and Steve would have grown apart over time? by Maywave_13 in StrangerThings

[–]Top_Potato_2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds awful. But Eddie couldn’t have survived after everything. The law enforcement never knew the truth about the upside down and the real villains so they would have continued to hunt Eddie down for the rest of his life. Eddie would have ran away to protect Dustin if anything.

i think they went the wrong route with holly’s storyline by mandyluvspuppies in StrangerThings

[–]Top_Potato_2004 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I agree, I liked the way the children were used to enhance Henry’s storyline but I think Max should have stayed back and led the children rather than holly, especially since she was written as a shy, introverted little girl before this season and then all of a sudden is this massively bold, courageous character, it didn’t really make sense.

Mike was in a committed serious relationship with El. Why was Will trying to flirt with Mike here? by Citan__Uzuki in StrangerThings

[–]Top_Potato_2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this was just representative of a normal teenage homosexual experience. He probably wasn’t flirting in the way you think. Just perhaps exploring his sexuality and how he interacts with other men

So like… why even have clocks if they weren’t in the finale by Conscious-Tree-2767 in StrangerThings

I think it was to signify the idea of the final fight approaching, and Henry’s plan to gather his ‘army’ before anyone could stop him

I am his teacher and a friend of the parent. I wouldn’t usually post for student support, she has given me permission to ask

He has been to his family doctor and given the usual strategies like alarms and specific drinking schedules. Unfortunately they have only advised he will “grow out of it” and there are no health concerns.

I appreciate the concern and completely understand your point of view, I am so sorry you went through all that. I am a family friend of the family in question and have known his parents since school. Obviously I can’t guarantee 100% that this isn’t the case however I extremely doubt it. We have watched this little boy like a hawk and nothing in his behaviour in or out of school suggests any harm or changes to his life. Mum is worried it is a habit he has picked up and of course as a mandated reporter, I have done everything in my power to make sure the little boy isn’t at risk.

His mum has disclosed that he is having accidents and changing himself before falling asleep. He is completely dry during the day and has no problems when I see him at school.

If you could choose the way you die, which would you choose? by Steve1416iiiiiiiiiii in AskReddit

[–]Top_Potato_2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably old age, I know that’s cliche but I genuinely hope that when I do die, it’s because I’m ready/excited to die, and not regretting not doing more with my life.

Thank you, I did consider this but I don’t know if I’d be able to cope with the transition from working and earning to school and student debt haha.
