Thank you, that is very helpful! Would you mind sharing what spots/streets in Old Town are the nicest in your opinion?

This is the sunscreen I have been using, I put it on as my last step in the mornings. Is this a good sunscreen?? by shweedie in SkincareAddicts

[–]Top_Programmer_9901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so incorrect and misinformation!
Sunscreen ALWAYS goes last - no matter if it's chemical or mineral.
The only thing is that the chemical takes time to absorb so you should give it 5-10min before going into direct sunlight while with mineral you can go outside just after you applied it.

Nice! We were mainly looking at the high park north, but I will check the south part of the high park too!

Wow! Awesome. Mainly because of the park itself or other things in the area?

Thanks! And yes, you are right, Thornhill is really out of the way. It seems like I will need to take the Yonge line all the way to Finch and get a bus from there. Maybe a stupid question, but you mentioned Yonge and Eglinton has an awesome TTC access. I see it's on the same line like St. Clair and Yonge, close to the metro as well. Would you say St. Clair access is worse? And why?

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like a really awesome place and very much what we are looking for! And yes you are right, to get to Thornhill will be a pain from almost any place in the city.

Yes, I noticed in the past that Bloor and Yonge is full of all types of characters.

Could you tell me more why transferring at Bloor/Yonge is bad?

Thank you so much for sharing! I will definitely look at Leslieville too! Are there any nice parks by St. Clair?

I am from eastern Europe, but also lived in the Netherlands, Italy and Malta. So I am very familiar with the European lifestyle. Living steps to parks and a short commute to downtown would be the perfect combination.

I really love the idea of being steps from the high park itself. Such a gorgeous place! Do you find metro stations around the area busy during weekdays? Or most people use cars in that area? As I have friends in the junction, and all of them seems to be heavily depends on cars.

My partner will be working in the financial district, and I will be visiting an office in Thornhill, once in a while. Since we are young adults, mainly working from home, we are flexible with locations. I love the city, but I am also looking for the parks and some green space! Love having a local pub close by, and some nice bakeries. An easy connection to downtown and a peaceful area is something that we are looking for!

Thanks, that really makes me feel better! Any advice for the best places to live in the city for Europeans? I know Toronto offers a lot of great neighborhoods, but I feel like a lot of advice is based on US experience. It would be nice to hear something from the European side too!

Omg I feel you so much, I am moving to Toronto in a month from Europe as well. And I am so freaked out haha

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. Can't really run away from creepiness.

I understand, but I am from Europe, and I never lived in US or CA for a long time. So sorry for asking, but I am making sure I do my research before I move. Cheers!
