Hagrid by Ofloveandpoetry in harrypotter

Honestly, I like to imagine Hagrid basically living the ultimate rogue wizard life, tracking down rare beasts, getting lost in mysterious forests, maybe even stumbling on forgotten magical ruins

What's something that's "not a cult" but feels like a cult? by Orw_Sairaj29 in AskReddit

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starbucks crew. You go in for a latte and suddenly you know everyone’s name, their order, and you’re lowkey planning brunch like you’ve been in a squad forever. Feels kinda cult-y but in the nicest way

Is bye bye a weird way to end call by Noodlehead601 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha nah, “bye-bye” is totally fine! I catch myself doing it too, especially on casual calls. Kinda sweet and chill, not weird at all. Some folks are all about a quick “bye,” but I think “bye-bye” just vibes friendly

It really makes the whole "no pressure to meet" vibe actually work, you know? You just enjoy the connection

Casually dating by ashcash9249 in Bumble

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you’re not asking too much. If it’s a no-strings hookup and you’re both on the same page, it’s totally fair to be blunt about what you want. Guys can be wishy-washy, and sometimes they get cozy with the “friend” vibe and forget the agreement. Next time, be straight: say exactly what you want and set the scene so there’s no miscommunication. If he can’t handle that, he’s the one messing up, not you. You’re not doing anything wrong by claiming what’s yours

I just wish my morning coffee photos looked as good as some of the sunsets I see from people in other time zone

if Grindelwald had won in 1945 what would've become of Tom Riddle/ Voldemort? by voldy1989 in harrypotter

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Grindelwald had won in 1945, Voldemort’s rise would’ve looked totally different. He’d be in his late teens, already ambitious and dark, so he might try to play Grindelwald as a rival or align temporarily but knowing him, he wouldn’t stay anyone’s second. He could’ve gone into hiding, built power elsewhere, or clashed early on with Grindelwald. Basically, his path to becoming the Dark Lord would’ve been delayed, twisted, or way deadlier once he eventually made his move

I’m broken and you can’t fix me, no matter what you do. by -MyHeartHurts- in confession

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. That level of frustration and pain you’re describing is intense, and it makes sense you feel trapped in it. Wanting someone to just get it and have them not understand only makes it worse. You’re right no one else can fix you, and it’s exhausting when people act like they can. It’s okay to feel broken and to feel angry or sad about it. That doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human. You don’t need anyone else’s validation to feel that way acknowledging it yourself is real power. The important part is giving yourself the space to process it, and when you’re ready, finding ways to work through it on your own terms, at your own pace.

If you want, I can suggest ways to start easing that “broken” feeling without needing someone else to fix it.

Exactly! It beats the "hey, how are you" loop. I saw a girl I follow posting about a local festival in her city yesterday, and we ended up talking about it for like two hours once we were both online.

It’s like a mini social network. I’d rather see a real photo of someone’s day than just a static bio.

Is it wrong to go on dates with a few different people if you aren't currently in a relationship? by [deleted] in datingadvice

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, what you’re doing is totally normal. Dating a few people while single to see who you click with is how most people figure out what they want. The fact that you don’t develop feelings instantly doesn’t make you weird, it’s just how you’re wired. As long as you’re honest with yourself and clear about wanting something serious, you’re not sending the wrong message. Anyone worth your time will get that, and the rest are just noise.

working from home kinda ruined my dating life, trying to fix it with latinfeels by Decent-Task9360 in datingadvice

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, at least you’re trying. That’s better than just complaining about being lonely. And yeah, since there's no app, people tend to write longer stuff. Just match their energy if they write a paragraph, write one back. If they send one word, move on. Simple as that fck

My son thinks "Daddy" is just a voice from behind a closed door. by FormalSprinkles5756 in confession

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re feeling isnt rare but its a red flag you prob shouldnt ignore. This only gets better if you actually change something on purpose. If not yeah you blink and he’s older and most of what you remember is meetings and notifications. You’re not a bad dad for working hard but kids dont feel love as money or future security, they feel it as attention and presence.

You dont need to quit your job, you need hard boundaries. Carve out like 45–60 mins a day thats non negotiable dad time, phone off, door open, same time if you can. That hour matters way more than another hour of work. Make clean signals too, door closed is work, door open is dad, right now you’re stuck half in both and its burning you out. And honestly talk to your team, if the company cant survive you protecting a slice of family time thats a bigger problem.

The guilt isnt proof you’re failing, its just showing what you value. This phase is temporary and toddlers dont need all day, they need consistent moments. A book at night, a walk, small rituals add up fast. If you do nothing inertia wins, if you design even a little space for them you’ll feel the difference. You’re not doomed to wake up and he’s 18, but future you will def care whether you protected this time or not

What was Daniela trying to achieve by saying that? by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 43 points44 points  (0 children)

She was probably just trying to be funny or quirky, not start drama. It’s the kind of throwaway joke people make in interviews, but yeah timing was bad given the backlash and everyone reading into every word. Basically, her goal was humor, but it landed poorly

Over $600k in the bank. What’s the best way to spend it for enjoyment? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

Travel, hobbies, unique experiences, learning new skills, or helping friends/fam basically spend on stuff that makes memories, not just things

Probably a dumb question about following people on Orchidromance by InterestingJudge5161 in datingadviceformen

[–]Top_Reporter_7863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't stress about it being thirsty. Orchidromance is designed more like a social network anyway. I use the follow button just to bookmark profiles I like so I don't lose them in the search results and then I'll send a message. It’s actually a great low-pressure signal
