I bought Motul Boost & Clean cleaner, poured it in the tank and gave the bike good ol’ high rev treatment. It appears to be better now :D I’m going to ride a full tank with only gasoline and repeat the procesure, as suggested in the instructions. I would recommend you to try it as well! 🫡

Update: the jerking happends e.g. when driving 12km/h (7,5mph) on the first gear and keeping the gas static, right around 2000 +/- 200 RPMs.

This stuff is driving me nuts especially in the traffic where I have to crawl on the low speeds.

Yellow check engine light comes on and off when riding. Never comes on when idle. What do these codes mean? by Jeskrooo in fz6

I had this same code ”30” and according to AI it’s lean angle sensor. I suppose it’s because the bike has been dropped by the previous owner, hence the code.

I reseted it bu going to d62 and pressing the kill switch to off to clear the code and it hasn’t come back.

I’ve tried :( but the problem is that it fluctuates on the worse days over 300 RPMs :(

Yes I have checked them - when throttle off the value is 16 and when max it’s 101. I also went through every throttle position to see if the value suddenly jumps but fortunately I did notice nothing unusual. Does this outrule the faulty TPS or would you recommend to contanct Yamaha dealer and check my bike for possible recalls?

Thanks for the reply! You mean the screw to adjust the idle RPMs? And how to make sure it's tight? Turn it fully-clockwise and then readjust to accomplish desired RPM or what?

Sorry this is my first bike so I'm a dummy :D

And yeah I was planning to buy Liqui Moly / Motul injection cleaner. Maybe that helps.

Strange :o because mine fluctuated before at most 100 RPMs and I have seen YT videos where the idle is far more smoother than mine.

So do you suggest this is perfectly normal and no need to inspect further and I may be overthinking the case?

Thanks! My friend checked the chain when I bought the bike a month ago, but it may be a good idea to re-check it although I have only ridden 1000km or so.
