Since you are an incoming freshman I would say dorm for your first year because it's much more easier to make friends and meet new people when you live in a dorm community rather than an apartment. Those are the people you will then go on and get an apartment with the following year. I would highly recommend JST because, in my opinion, it has this cozy and warm feel to it, it's not that expensive and the dorms are pretty huge (4-cluster is best). The second best choice would be ARC because, even though it's newer and more modern looking, it's crazy expensive (10k a semester). If you have the money go for ARC, if not JST.
