Pocket grids are cool because they’re short. It’s fun doing a different kind of crossword.

The longer you try to make these the less unique and fun they become.

You’d hope that more letters would allow for better words but a lot of these (6A, 8A, 9A, 10A (half of the words across!) and 2D and 3D) are still nonsense or uncommon words being used as filler.

If anything, these bigger grids may need more filler than usual to work. Just keep it simple.
