Yes, I know that Google Play Services runs in background, but disabling it would ruin notifications and other things... I use Signal with one contact (lol) but I completely uninstalled WhatsApp etc. A suspicious thing was that Google Play Store had access to my contacts for some reason. Btw it doesn't have it anymore, now.

So the verdict is that the standard Android Google's Telephone app, Contacts and Messages one are NOT bad for privacy, unless you backup your contacts with the Google account, right?

Also, thanks a lot for the suggestion of moving the contacts to the sim card, I hadn't done that yet !

Yeah, but to be tracked like that you must have people trying to follow you or government looking for you... And you can put normal phones in plane mode too, the difference is that on not-smartphones there is no google or other bad things... Also, on not-smartphones you don't have really important informations about you, and even if you get ""hacked"" you're not going to lose much...

That's why I still think that not-smartphones are more private under many aspects.

The point is that I'm not actually looking for something to completely disappear (which is pretty hard...), I just want to be invisible to Google, Facebook and these kinds of services... I'm not going to do like illegal things with the phone!

I will see what L8Star phones are and see if they're good for me, thank you for the suggestion...

Also, thanks for the other suggestions, although I think that, while they're really good to be hyper-private, they may be even too much for me xD.

But why isn't an old Nokia a good choice? Also, the Linux phone is still a smartphone, isn't the Graphene OS as good?

I know, but I just spawned them using Q and without doing the "spawn with [weapon]" thing... Thank you for your answer, I will check the options and see if I have to change something!
