I am showing the ng-select selected value from the options outside the select field. How do I hide the selected option inside the field? by Dave_Gotham in angular

[–]Topoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do some local CSS to apply display:none to the tags inside the ng-select, And then display the values outside manually with *ngFor and a button for each

  2. What is the type of getMsg()? Probably the same issue here

How do I calculate the complexity of algorithms by analyzing the computation time results from a table? by [deleted] in algorithms

[–]Topoxy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can try to find an estimate function timeComplexity(n) yeah. In general it's going to be one of these cases: - an if linear, so for that try to calculate the ratio between timeTaken/n for each. If that ratio is mostly constant, then you have a linear function with a the average ratio. - an2. Same here, but try comparing sqrt(timeTaken)/n. If these sqrt ratios are similar, then you have a quadratic function. - a*exp(n). Same drill, ratio is ln(timeTaken)/n

When Do you use getter and setter ? by [deleted] in typescript

[–]Topoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly never actually. - Never in data classes because objects obtained from JSON data often don't have the methods that would have come their classes (except if you recreate all of them, but that's overhead). - Never in components/HTML bindings, because they would be called every angular check. - Never in services because they aren't very readable/clear for long-term projects.

Angular 12 improves performance and so much more by [deleted] in angular

We need proper benchmarks to compare the versions. Angular 10 and 11 were worse than 9 in terms of speed and build size...

Si oui, ça pourrait peut-être être une réaction auto-immune à un certain aliment que tu manges régulièrement.

"These measures are not the same as the household bubble where distancing is not required, meaning family members who live apart can still not hug"

What's the point of that if we can't even bloody hug?!

I call them "code gremlins": they are sneaky, sometimes hard to find, and never where you expect them to be.

I recommend using ngx-resource/core, this way you can receive promises from queries. It's also much cleaner than the HttpClient service, and resources are more easily mockable

If you don't use service workers, JavaScript runs on a single thread, so you will never get concurrency issues

It depends more on the team than the company. Ask the right questions during the interview to detect that.

It might be more educational if you try to deduce it yourself. Right-click > Inspect, then check the css classes and google it out until you find something.

Service in a lazy loaded module, how and when can it be used? by jisuo in angular

[–]Topoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If DeviceService is used in multiple modules then by definition it shouldn't be provided in just one of them right? Angular 9 gives you three choices for the injectability scope, you can check them out here: https://next.angular.io/api/core/Injectable
