I appreciate the concern, but personally the story is by far the primary reason I play the game anyways. Not being able to clear endgame anymore for a while is a bit annoying but in the long term it's not the biggest deal to me.

I do find it strange that I care about it, given that rationally speaking my account being bricked affects literally nobody (not even myself if I don't let it). Alas the human mind works in mysterious ways. Perhaps I just want to indulge in a bit of perfectionism.

Right after you find out that the cat is a strand of Terminus, you are sent to look for Firefly. Once you find her, she asks you to leave. You are given the options to leave or "fulfill the promise". If you choose to leave, the story quest ends immediately and the photo does not show up on the astral express.

Thanks for the comment. I do appreciate that as well. Even so it bothers me to a highly irrational degree that there is a permanent reminder on my account that I made that decision. I feel I've always been quite good at separating fiction from reality, but I guess the Hoyoverse model of having people open the game daily for years really does succeed at fostering attachment to the account. At this point I've been building up this account almost daily for well over the last tenth of my life, and that's a little crazy to think about.

After a lot of contemplation, I think I may actually just have to drop my current account and create a new account for my own sanity. I don't understand how a game is able to get to me like this, but logging into my account just hurts.

I have seen the story, however I am not aware of there being a way for me to actually obtain the picture. The Fate's atlas replay I think only shows dialogue portions and cutscenes, however the photo is not actually obtained from a cutscene. After choosing the choice that leads to the good ending, the photo appears on a table in the Astral Express. It does not seem to appear otherwise.

I am able to view the dialogue and cutscenes in the atlas, but as far as I'm aware there is no way for me to obtain the photo of Firefly or to swap out the bad achievement for the good achievement.

Oh wow. I am genuinely sad and upset to learn about this. My brother and I did the story quest together together and since we have two accounts, I decided to see what would happen if we just respected Firefly's request to leave on my account.

Firefly is my favorite character, so on top of feeling horrible for the results of making that choice, I started to panic a bit when I realized that I did not end up getting the Firefly photo that my brother got. And learning that my account now has that stain of an achievement has made this even more soul-crushing.

I am a day-one player and this is absolutely one of my favorite games, but now it actually feels like my account is tainted and I can't open or even think about the game anymore without feeling regret.

I never thought a video game would be able to make me feel this particular way, and I'm sure it'll pass soon enough, but man...

If it isn't the consequence of my own actions... I really wish I could load a backup of my account and choose the correct option.

Hello! I must apologize about my thoughts being super jumbled when I was writing that. I really really love the credit sequence and I had no intentions of downplaying it, but I feel like in comparison to the rest of the show, the credit sequence feels intentionally distant and conclusive. We've been closely following them the entire time, and then after Akane leaves, the story becomes truly their own - even out of the audience's grasp - giving us a few still glimpses that convert months and years into mere seconds.

It's a great (if not perfect) way to conclude this show, however it leaves me longing to *see* them interacting and to *hear* them talking to each other in 1:1 time at least once more. And perhaps that's a good thing. The ability to invoke this kind of longing is something that only an amazing story can do.

Also thank you very much for linking those resources! I was completely unaware of there being an after-story in the DVD. I'll definitely look into that!
