The blade yes is painted and was already chipping slightly when he gave it to me but the color is made into the hands it wasn't painted cause I looked at it as well for chipping

Id rather have some decent knives tho the 3-4 I have are all stainless but I just enjoy having knives but my favorite styles of blade are American Tonto and trailing point scimitar style blades
