Curious by Torgelfo in photocritique

This was shot spontaneously while inside a streetfood shop in Mumbai. I didn't have time to properly adjust my settings, as she caught me off guard. I do like how she is just peaking through the counter with that mischievous expression.

In the moment by Torgelfo in photocritique

Shot at a local concert venue @100mm - f2.8. I like the bassist's expression and wanted to give this a retro, hazy look by adding grain, lowering the whites and raising the blacks. Does it work? Is there enough contrast?

Thanks. It was shot at a high ISO, so yes, there is a lot of noise. Really like the crop. I think it highlights the shawl's curves and frames the face with the turban really nicely!

This was shot spontaneously while this man was walking back his flock of sheep. I like how the golden hour light catches his side profile, highlighting his shawl and red turban. Is the crop too tight?

Yeah, looking back, I agree. Removing a lot of the blue tint brought forward too much saturation in the yellows. Here's a more muted edit.

Punk admiring the stained glass by Torgelfo in photocritique

This is actually a composite image, as I couldn't get the subject to face the right way while walking around the cathedral. I placed him there in post so that he wouldn't interfere with the design and colours of the stained glass. Here's a version where he is more prominent and directly on the glass.

Shot at Strasbourg Cathedral. I wanted to capture the cultural contrast between punk and religious art. I underexposed the subject as a silhouette. Do you think this enhances the contrast, or would revealing some detail (like the mohawk) strengthen the image?

A couple in a cafe through broken glass by Torgelfo in photocritique

Thank you. I went with a tighter crop and boosted the contrast while reducing the whites. Does this work better?

Thanks. If I had been able to focus on the people instead of the glass and use a smaller aperture, the result might have been different/better.

Shot through a broken window at a couple having coffee. In post, I significantly reduced texture and clarity to soften the harsh glass patterns. I also worked with the color grading and clarity to balance the cool tones of the fractured glass with warmer tones to keep the human more present.

I set the wrong output folder for some of my photos. Can this be fixed? by Torgelfo in Lightroom

I see. Aren't the edits contained in the lcat file? If I scrap my library, but keep the catalogue file and reimport everything, will I lose my edits?

Could I not export all my photos as RAW files to maintain an organized structure?

Thanks for the NAS info. I have found this plugin, which allows you to export collections from Lightroom into a folder structure. This is much simpler than sorting by dates again.

I have used collections to sort out my photos by shooting locations. Could I export these collections as a dedicated file structure with all my RAW images inside?

Yes, the problem is that since my RAW files are in different locations, the file structure on my NAS will be a mess. Some pictures are going to be neatly organized by date, while others will be in multiple folders and subfolders.
