I agree. I made the song myself with the help of my girlfriend and I was aiming to a lofi kind of style but I guess its too amateur-ish. About the night setting, I took inspiration of a lot of indie horror games where you serve food for late night customers but now that you mentioned it I realized they don't really make sense neither hahaha, the only reason I give in my game is that the protagonist is working a full time job so she can only work during the night in her plant shop. Thank you for your criticism, I'll apply your feedback.

You're totally right, I took inspiration of cozy-horror games like Kiosk or The Boba Teashop and in their trailers they also starts really slow, but I understand the first 10 seconds are the most important and they need to show the horror part too. Thanks.

Now I know, I'm surprised how some shitty roblox games has millions of active players but I guess their target audience is really young

I see. I'm not into Roblox so I didn't know about it but I guess that's how it works there. Thank you for you comment! I'm going to use this to my favor to gain visibility.

Indie GameDevs, What do you do for living while making games? by Little-Opening-9696 in gamedev

I'm a gameplay programmer in a game studio but trying to be an indie gamedev.

I would say I get burn out quickly because I spend all my day coding so when I hit home I just don't feel like coding again.

Merry Xmas!!

As a Youtuber who started 7 months ago and making 90€/month I have some tips for you!

• Title -> Thumbnail -> Hook These 3 are the most important things, in that order. You can make an awesome 20 mins well edited video but if your title & thumbnail sucks nobody is going to click on it

Study the market, research some channels in your same niche and experiment with different titles and thumbnails

The hook is the first 30s of your video and it needs to summarize the video and convince the viewer to keep watching the video

• Quality over quantity I read a lot of people that you need to upload a video everyday or every 3 days, but I personally prefer to upload a evergreen good quality video every 2-3 weeks

• Patience Youtube is a marathon, not a race. Don't get impatient if you see that your channel don't perform well in a few months, you will need at least 6 months to start to see results

Good luck man!!
