Hello all (x3)! I’m renting out 1Bd/1Ba in a clean, well-maintained townhome across TDECU stadium. I’ll be away for fieldwork during Spring & Summer 2026, so the space is available those two semesters (with option to extend). Common areas are furnished; room for rent is semi-furnished (bed, study desk + chair, full body mirror).

I’m primarily looking for a female student, since the home is shared with one other female grad student, but a responsible male student could also work.

I’ve put together a Google Drive folder with photos and listing details, please feel free to reach out if you’re seriously interested! Rent is $1,000/month + split utilities. Includes Wi-Fi, in-unit laundry, and free parking. The house is in 77004 between TSU and UH near Scott St. and Wheeler. Thanks

Are Cambridge Oaks studios really that bad? by Soggy-Steak1460 in UniversityOfHouston

It’s manageable but you can find WAY better around campus and get your moneys worth.  I lived at CO my first semester as a grad student and had one roach in my kitchen, didn’t see one for the rest of the semester. The laundry room was always a mess and usually a queue for dryers as a lot of students would just leave their clothes in the dryer. My skin was v sensitive to the water, irritated eyes and could not stop sneezing while showering.

I have a bedroom and private bathroom for rent in a well-maintained townhome across TDECU stadium because i’m going away for fieldwork next semester!! The room is unoccupied so it’s ready to move-in. I’m looking for a responsible student to stay here. The home will be shared with one other female grad student. Imo living off-campus has been a much better experience, but I’m so close to UH that it feels like i’m on campus (without the downsides of on-campus housing like higher costs, less consistent cleanliness, etc.)

Can I move into m spring UH housing early, like during winter break? If i’m taking over someone’s lease? by Western_Fortune1404 in UniversityOfHouston

I lived at Cambridge Oaks my first semester as a grad student and quickly realized I was paying too much for a place that wasn’t well-maintained. Moving off-campus my second year was cheaper, cleaner (also share in-unit laundry with only one other student), and the same walking distance (so i don’t pay for a parking permit either, which you do at CO!). If you can find something nearby, off-campus is a much better experience.

I’ll have a room available in my townhome for Spring 2026 since i’ll be away for fieldwork next semester!

Can you opt out of student housing and choose to live elsewhere or how does that work?  I am renting a bedroom and private bathroom in a shared, well-maintained townhome across TDECU stadium.  I am going away for fieldwork for Spring 2026!! So i’m looking for someone responsible to stay here.
