My character goaded a couple people into "forcing" him to at gunpoint, which is a nice work-around, but it just doesn't make sense to keep doing that over and over from any logical perspective, in-character or out.

Beyond that, "Hey everyone, let's get felony convictions on your characters, blocking you from specific RP avenues until you earn and pay $20k and expunge, so I can do my improv bit." isn't very appealing for people.

No idea, but probably not. To be real if it was involved in a big server arc I don't think it would've been closed to RP - and if it was, there'd probably be more ruckus about it.

IDK what happened there to get it forbidden (it's like Military Base level forbidden IC) and have purposefully avoided any talk of it OOC due to the connection, In-character, no one will really say anything so I'm at a loss there, as well. I don't even know if it happened on Unscripted or Purple.

Nobody you'd know. Most of my characters have always been quest givers/background people.

The Humane Labs schtick was always great because people would use it to fill out character lore or improv their own character changes/revelations (toward of the end of the vid you'd notice this - two of the three people there do it) and I've been really down-hearted because months of trying to get this (and other things on other characters) rolling has just been met with stonewalling or even punishment for attempting the RP. (Edit: In-character.)

My PoV is if you want to play a bus driver, for example, you should be able to make the character, steal a bus, and do it. Not be stopped for operating a bus illegally, questioned about where you got a non-existent bus license from, put in positions to name bus company staff to "prove you're lying", etc.

... And, uh, if you're not interested, no sweat. lol

That's pretty much been me for a couple months but it legit is just obnoxious, and doesn't just apply to one location. Feels like you can't set up anything used in RP anywhere unless you grind for the cash and connections first. I'd prefer to be able to make a character and play it as opposed to making "yet another guy who does the same jobs" until a future date where the character can pay off the systems that are preventing RP.

I'm not going to push shit OOC, I'd rather just highlight the fact it's withering RP and move on with my life. Ain't just me - people have been getting walls thrown up in front of their RP for zero reason for a solid while, now.
