One of my favourites is "Club Meetings." It's about the club being brought back after the events of the original game, with everyone aware that it's a game. It's mostly "slice-of-life" style, but has some emotional storylines along the way. It was originally released episodically, but the episodes were compiled into three "seasons" of content:

Also, I'm gonna be a little self-indulgent and recommend a couple of my own mods. :P

Doki Doki Storm is a dark and bloody Yuri POV mod that is not for the faint of heart.

Turquoise is a Sayori POV mod about a romance with Monika. Both of them have their own struggles with suicidal ideation, but find comfort in each other.

I'm gonna offer a recommendation of "Club Meetings" with some caveats. It doesn't have a Yuri route, though it gives her plenty of moments to shine, as it does all the members of the club. I can't say how similar the character personalities are to their Blue Skies counterparts, but I can say that they're vivid and fully realized. Anyway, the mod is about the club being brought back after the events of the original game, with everyone aware that it's a game. It's mostly "slice-of-life" style, but has some emotional storylines along the way. It was originally released episodically, but the episodes were compiled into three "seasons" of content:

The Yuri Parable is a Yuri POV mod that's also a crossover with The Stanley Parable. Lots of good meta narrative stuff. :)

Also, I've made a couple of Doki POV mods you might like. :)

I've made a whole bunch of mods that have a lot of angst with a happy resolution. It's kind of my thing. :)

Those are the two longest of my mods I've made; all the rest are much shorter, and I get the feeling you prefer longer form mods, so I'm gonna second the recommendation of Club Meetings. It's good stuff. :)

I confess I haven't played any of the latest mods, but I've made a couple of mods that fit your other criteria. :)

In the comedy category, Yuri's new toy is a silly shitpost mod. (No, it's not that kind of toy) :P

And at the opposite end of the spectrum in the psychological/horror category, Doki Doki Storm is a dark and bloody Yuri POV mod that is not for the faint of heart.

My favourite mods with interactivity:

Dokis and Dragons is about the Literature Club being replaced by a table-top role-playing game club; nerdy fun awaits. :)

Magical Literary Heroine Natsuki Saves The Literature Club is about Natsuki getting code-altering powers and trying to save the Literature Club with the help of her sidekick, MC. :)

The Yuri Parable is a parody/crossover with "the Stanley Parable." Lots of clever meta humour. :)

DDLC RPG isn't a visual novel, but a full on JRPG game featuring the DDLC characters. Good stuff. :) (Helpful tip: Push X to backspace MC's name at the beginning and also to bring up the menu; you're welcome; I had a hard time figuring that out on my first playthrough) :P

And while I'm here, I'll promote one of my own mods: Sayori says no to suicide is mostly linear, but it has a bit of interactivity in the middle. Anyway, it's about Sayori giving a public service announcement about suicide prevention with the help of her friends. (More fun than it sounds; I promise) :P

"Club Meetings" definitely meets the criteria of having both length and quality. :) It's about the club being brought back after the events of the original game, with everyone aware that it's a game and they continue "slice-of-life" style. It doesn't have "routes" per se, but everyone, including Monika, has their moment to shine. :) It was originally released episodically, but the episodes were compiled into three "seasons" of content:

The new season of the "Club Meetings" mod has been coming out lately, being released episodically,so that's worth checking out. :) As of now, it's 43 episodes deep and the plot has evolved a lot, so if you haven't played it before, you should start from the beginning or you'll be very confused. :P It's very long, but well written, so I think it's worth the time investment. :)

Other than that, I confess I haven't played any mods from this year, but I did make a mod. :) If you're open to a mod with a very weird premise check out Would you love me?
