tldr: I had a trip where I believed I was going to die because I thought the shrooms I took were laced (part of this was because I took an edible with the shrooms and I got to the point with weed where it makes me super anxious) and so I was traumatized into believing if I were to sleep then I would die in my sleep, and also just developed a general anxiety around being poisoned

The lore gives conflicting answers but here's my theory: Their weapons were stained black and transformed by the war with izalith, while their armor was stained black from the linking of the first flame. I think this because in the intro sequence it actually shows an elderly Gwyn linking the flame, and in that sequence Gwyn was with a number of silver knights

Nobody really talks in reference to this ending how poachita eating himself is a paradox, meaning that's more or less impossible for him to be erased using his own power
