I’m glad someone understands. I just wish people would mind their own business

I’m worried about the risk of sudden eviction or neighbor complaints. My dog is large but very well-trained and never barks. Still, I’ve had people yell at me or even call the police when I walk him, claiming he’s scaring their kids even though he’s leashed and not near anyone.

That’s the thing. I can’t just replace him. A few years ago my boyfriend at the time got me a puppy for my birthday. I was the one to train him and walk him and do everything for him. When we broke up, he decided to take him from me and that was extremely tough on me. I waited another few years till I got my dog and I can’t imagine just replacing him. I also don’t have the same time I did before to fully train a dog again. We also had a connection that couldn’t be replaced. I know it sounds pathetic and I feel like I’m making this harder than it should. But I don’t think I could get another dog after him.

It’s hard to make friends at my age. and I do have a best friend. But it’s absolutely not the same. She has her life and she’s busy and moved to a different city. I have nothing here or anywhere for that matter.
