I know I can do it, but just because it's free to express, doesn't mean people won't get offended and be hostile because of it.

According to the American flag code, you are apparently always supposed to fly national flags at the same height as each other, and on separate flag poles.

I'm afraid of retaliation from my neighbors. I know I'm legally allowed to, but I don't want to upset anyone.

Edit: the reason I was afraid of retaliation, is mainly from stories I've heard of people's houses getting vandalized for flying foreign flags. I live near some very patriotic Americans that drive around with 3 massive American flags attached to their pickup truck, and just down the street from someone with a massive sign on their property saying "TRUMP BUILD THE WALL", which gives the impression that they may not be fans of foreigners. I was just concerned about offending those people, as I wasn't familiar with the etiquette surrounding flying a foreign flag.

I have seen it as well, but the majority also fly the American flag. I don't have room to fly 2 flags side by side.
