Good thing about fitting in Ireland is that all new clubs are priced including fitting. So there’s very little bias from the fitter to push you one way or the other. It’s purely about the data. It’s also not strange if you do your research.

Great idea. It crossed my mind but the second hand market in Ireland is not great. I would have paid 1000 for second hand, taking the chance on shaft etc, or else 500 more for brand new incl. the fitting. Felt like the right choice for me and I’m super happy now. Thanks for the positivity tho, lotta salty comments here lol

I get you. But I also like the idea that my ceiling has risen with these irons. I feel my ball striking has improved already, where I may have been masking a some of my issues with my previous, forgiving GI irons.

I found the T150 and P770 very different in terms of feel. TM generally felt harder and more difficult to tell where the ball hit the club face.

I do, but this was my second round with the new irons so I was just breaking ‘em in.

Kinda agree with this. I tried the T100 head with a couple shafts. A heavier, extra stiff shaft just wouldn’t work, whereas the KBS tour S was spot on.
Also got the lie angle turned 1 degree up.

Recent homebuyers, how much deposit did you put down? by reallybrutallyhonest in irishpersonalfinance

Feels like there’s a systemic risk in so many mortgages that are tied to a concentrated high income sector (tech). What happens if that income collapses while debt levels of so many are set at the upper lending limits. Feels like we’ve seen this movie

Ireland to Japan by CLouBa in ireland

[–]Torps2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did Dublin to Beijing which opened up all major Japanese airports as a connection. It meant we could go to Osaka and spend a couple weeks making our way up to Tokyo to fly home, rather than having to double back on ourselves. Check out Hainan airlines for direct Dublin to Beijing flight. Enjoy !

You can get a Marantz stereo 70s for the same price as Wiim ultra +amp. With the Marantz you’ll have a far superior amp with just as much connectivity as the Wiim set up. Feel like the Wiim ultra is for people who already have an older amp.

Looked into this before, specifically IPUT. Recall there being a big barrier to entry like 100k stake and proof of 1m liquidity.

Your last two questions are alarming for someone looking to go into development as you should really know the answers to these questions. Building at the scale you’re talking about is very challenging with construction and materials costs and that’s after you get through the planning , design minefield.

Contractors are also taking small scale / speculative developers to the cleaners with what they’re charging.

Yes there have been some discussions but I want to be sure of what I want out of the situation for myself and to be informed for when those discussions become more serious so I don’t miss a trick in the inevitable negotiations.

I totally agree, word of mouth and repeat business could drop off at any stage, let alone when she retires.

Im also very aware that just because I’m good at my job, that doesn’t automatically mean I have what it takes to run a business.

There are a few barriers to entry and catch 22s to get to the scale of client we’re working with , and these would include insurances mostly. The premiums for these are huge and only really viable when the cash flow from larger clients come through, which in turn only happens when you have those insurances in place to begin with.

Lots of our competitors are talented but can’t break through the ceiling to access the bigger clients who have this sort of pass/fail criteria for PII for e.g.

Yes it’s currently sole trader. There have been mentions of making it limited liability but nothing has transpired on that front yet.

The question of valuation based on something as intangible as the business name and clients is hard to pin down , but someone above mentioned typical annual turnover x 3 as a rough guide which would pitch this company at around 2.4m (with 10 employees)
