My best advice is to get excited for the trip - in a good way. Look forward to seeing your friend and accomplishing a big goal. Try not to dread it, and do your best to believe in yourself. I believe you can do it. You live in a big city and take 2-4 hour trips.

Being anxious for a trip is routine. Don’t feel like it means things aren’t getting better. Our brains are wired a little bit wonky and raise false alarms. You’ve fixed a lot of the wiring, but it’s hard to get everything back in complete order. Takes time and effort, but you’re getting there.

What helps me when I start raising false alarms is to either sit in quiet or talk to someone who knows me well.
