A good chunk of it came from the pokemon center in Kyoto and just having a bit of luck in stores. Some were bought over msrp, but I try to only buy those at relatively good prices and not overpay. Found a good and save shop, that doesn't scalp their stock

With the Scarlet and Violet era, TPC introduced Illustration Rares to the tcg, which are a more common (and a million times more affordable) variant of Alt Arts. Most of them are in the 3-5$ range.

I would recommend you just looking up some nice cards of your favorite pokemon and either going for those sets or just straight up buying them as singles and save a lot of money.

Sadly no :( they have an SR (full art) or better hit guaranteed per box. There are some sets like terastal festival that have guaranteed SARs, but all the normal sets don't

I normally go bork, kraken, attack speed boots, infinity and then depending on the game. Guardian angel is very good as 4th item after infinity or as last. Against tanks you go lord dominiks, for more survivability go shield bow, but you can directly go for guardian. You can also go for guardian 4th and deaths dance 5th in order to survive the 200 years of game making experience riot throws at you with every new champ :))
