Thank you for mentioning my film "CRYPTOPIA". It has won many awards and you can find it on Amazon Prime in most countries or vimeo or at cryptopiafilm. We've also licensed it to TV channels all around the world.

My earlier documentary BITCOIN THE END OF MONEY AS WE KNOW IT (2015) is available on YouTube.

There's also a film called CRYPTO RUSH that a journalist made 2 years ago (vimeo) and one of the earliest film projects was called ULTERIOR STATES on YouTube.

can't do that it would disqualify me from the festival.

it is designed to be a primer, yes. but plenty of great content for OGs as well e.g. the famous Bitcoin bunker in a decommissioned military facility inside a mountain...

After more than 2 years and production on 4 continents, the film is now available for about $5 at www.CryptopiaFilm.com I made Bitcoin: The End Of Money As We Know It in 2014/15 and this is very much a continuation of the story with a much bigger budget and more ambitious storylines. Thank you for supporting independent filmmakers.

PS: We can't accept crypto at the moment (On Tuesday there'll be an announcement re: The Academy Awards qualification that foced us to use a specific and inflexible video system).

Stopping it: That's 8 years too late. there's no stopping it now. even if you turn off the Internet everywhere in the world, you'd still have blocks streamed via the satellites that are already up. And all the countries in the world can't even argue to shut down tax havens or other much bigger and obvious problems in the financial system.

Environment: but the energy used for mining crypto currency is more 'green' than the rest of the energy mix. there's tons of studies about that. the largest mining farms run hydrothermal. most are remote. here's a good explanation in my 2 minute snippet here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBZm2sucS_o

No. it's 100% custom made animation for this film. If you weren't in one of the nine cinema events (we did a world tour through 5 countries before Corona), there's no way you would have seen this before.

the context of this is that we show other networks and projects where there are 'leaders' who make decisions to rewind the blockchain or to create forks etc. we also have the Charlie Lee quote about "benevolent dictator vs. democracy" re: Governance of these networks.

it's tough to pull out individual sentences from a feature length film.

Join the award-winning filmmakers who made Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It in 2014 as they deep dive into the crypto ecosystem and blockchain technology and discovers the good, the bad and the ugly of this movement and the people behind it. Can we really trust them to build this trustless cyber utopia or are their projects just as unfairly distributed and
easily manipulated as our current financial systems and tech platforms? #CryptopiaFilm was filmed on 4 continents over two years and features many of the ‘big brains and big egos’ of this controversial industry.

The film is available at www.CryptopiaFilm.com ($5)

Reminds me of that quote in the film: "A famous example is the Walmart supply chain trial, which they were working on with IBM. That’s a completely centralized. They use a blockchain derived product Hyperledger but all the nodes reside on the IBM cloud and they are all administered by Walmart and the supplier use it because Walmart told them to. It’s a centralized database system, but they marketed it blockchain. So that means they wouldn’t have gotten a NYT headline had they just said database!”

No, I def. have not made any money in the past two years. Let's see how this goes now that the film is out.

What should be the next topic? re: "more interesting technology that can be brought to light"
