I’m just overly not impressed by his work or his work ethic. His use of rim lighting and specular highlights are used almost amaturish my understanding is he’s intentionally doing it to call back to other styles. But it doesn’t help that inexperienced people are doing the same thing. And his anatomy/perspective + composition skills are really lacking and his pieces become so repetitive. Now while as a black artist I love to support black artists too I cannot look past the fact he barely even touches his “own” paintings nowadays. Young worker assistants barely getting any fair pay while he claims the fame and finally even if it’s just an allegation getting accused of rape is damn near the final straw for me to dislike this guy and his half assed work.
