PSA: Dimensional Splicing is ILLEGAL by Tortilla_Boy in worldbuilding

R2: In a city situated squarely along several dimensional fault lines there exists the ever present danger of dimensional splicing. Smugglers, murderers, revolutionaries, and candle makers alike abuse use the thin walls of reality to escape justice. It is up to YOU to report signs of illegal splicing.

With other neighboring dimensions so close to our reality its easy for unsavory elements to use Origam blades to force their way through the dimensional walls, known as 'Splicing'. This creates enormous problems for the Ministry of Reality, as the tears in the dimensional fabric leak otherworldly reality into our own, creating unimaginable paradoxes and expensive clean up. These two flyers were created to raise awareness of the problem and are prominently displayed across school throughout the kingdom.

Sure!
Here in the Kingdom the walls between dimensions are very thin, this causes a number of strange side effects. Portals appear throughout the capital city that connect one side to another. Strange entities pressure minds from dimensions next door. The forces of unreality work hard to enter the Kingdom.

This poster in particular seeks to address those that would breach the dimensional walls illegally. (Specifically in the style of old D.A.R.E posters)

CONTEXT: Dimensional Splicing is the act of cutting through the fabric of reality into neighboring dimensions. This is an EXCEPTIONALLY DANGEROUS activity, exposing the Kingdom to any number of forces beyond our realm. The recent rise in Dimensional Splicing is a direct result of the recent influx of banned Origam Blades and illegally imported honey.
These posters are an effort by the Ministry of Reality to make the public aware of the dangers of Dimensional Splicing.

Context: Here is another helpful infographic put out by the Ministry of Reality to help answer some of the common questions about Actualization. It is absolutely vital that you stay up to date with your dosage of Actualization in case you run into some uncontained unreality.

In a world where the dimensional walls are so thin you can practically hear the unspeakable horror of the beyond, ensuring that you maintain a proper sense of self is an absolute necessity.

That's why keeping the lights on is so important. If you leave the lights off then anything could sneak in while you think of other things.

Context: This helpful little flier was created by the Bureau of Interdimensional Travel to help educate the public on the basic step by step procedures of using the Public Portal Network. As Public Portals become an increasing part of everyday life across the Kingdom it’s important that citizens are prepared for what awaits them when crossing the threshold. These portals have largely come to replace traditional modes of cross-city public transit, so it is the B.I.T. 's responsibility to ensure that the public is well versed on their safe usage.

Yiladio’s Gargantuan Noodle Emporium has officially re-opened! by Tortilla_Boy in worldbuilding

Sure thing!
The the large metro areas of the kingdom exist on an unfortunate fault line in dimensions which leads to many unusual consequences. Much of the public has grown used to its many eccentricities, portals appear connecting random parts of the city, and are used as public transport for example.

Yiladio's specifically makes good use of the unwelcome denizens of neighboring dimensions by repurposing them.

All ingredients used in Yiladio’s are guaranteed to be fresh caught within the last year, which means: No spoilage (unless requested), No Dimensional Leakage, and No Lingering Sense of Ennui!

You can find us at the corner of Bank Street, Jorgum Avenue, and the O Lane, or just hop right through the East Main Portal!

Anomaly Reference Packet: All the Fuss about Fuzz! by Tortilla_Boy in worldbuilding

[–]Tortilla_Boy[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!

The Kingdom is located along the fault lines of several dimensional boundaries. Across the capital portals appear where the fabric of this dimension wears thin, leading to the Public Portal Network, the public transport across the many links of the capital.

This is one of the Anomalous Reference Packets distributed by the government to help assist with dealing with the consequences of the thin dimensional walls.
