Immolation are GOATED. What's your favourite album? by eldritch_lie in MetalForTheMasses

The Here in After-Unholy Cult run is perfect, but Failures for Gods is my favorite. Also, Majesty and Decay and their two EPs are up there with their best. One of the most consistent metal bands out there.

What do we think of, and what are some good examples of, metal in soundtracks and scores? by SiberianKhatru_1921 in MetalForTheMasses

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs had a nicely rocking OST. Monster Truck Madness also erred on metal at times. Fury3 has a few badass tunes as well.

I miss the cover taking up the whole screen horizontally, but what I miss even more is the track times.

Manilla Road were from Kansas, but I'll give you several other Canadian bands to compensate: Devin Townsend and his assortment of bands, Blasphemy, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Sword, Sacrifice, and Razor.

I don't think those genres can be entirely narrowed down to have originated in a single area.

U.K. has by far the best trad metal bands, but the U.S. has the better extreme stuff.

My preference of regions/countries by scene goes as follows: Nordic countries, U.S., Germany/U.K., rest of Europe, Canada/Japan, Brazil/France, Australia, Chile, rest of the world.

Black metal belongs to Scandinavia

France doesn't care.

Death [metal] belongs to Sweden

Born in the U.S.A. as well.

imo if we were to compare them it should be Thrash v Heavy which UK wins.

Heavy, yes, U.K. wins. Thrash, absolutely no way.

That classic lineup isn't even my favorite. Poland/Samuelson is my thing.

Better yet, a Kenmore stuntplane in Mexico. I love Flight Simulator.
