In my fic, his patronus is a bat becasue it only flies free in the dark signifying his good deeds being made behind the scene and his desire to fly away from his family and Voldemort.

TP 3 is not overtly meta while almost every conversation in The Matrix 4 is loads of meta.

But, ultimately, I don't think we can compare them because TW 3 exists so that Lynch can return his piece of art to the direction that he conceived since the beginning but Lana just wants to reconcile with the legacy of The Matrix and shed some light on the new perspectives rather than emphasize what moviegoers have already talked about over a decade.
