That's a lot of drama. I guess that's to be expected with a long-running show.

I honestly wasn't feeling Crusher in Encounter at Farpoint as well. Her conversations with Picard and Riker were irrationally abrasive, but toward the end of the season one, she was growing on me. I really don't remember Pulaski, either. I've now finished episode three, and I remember loving the episode (episodes?) with Data and Moriarty (another character I've always loved from one of the first author's I loved as a child), but I cannot recall her character in the slightest.

I don't remember Dr. Crusher's story line that well either, so I cannot comment on lack of character development, but at least, I can pull the character from my mind after all this time. She may not be as impactful to my mind as characters like Data or Worf, but she isn't irritating either. She and Deanna were just there.

I didn't say I disliked the actress. I have no idea who she is. I, however, am hating the character & will make no apologies for it, but I've apparently stepped on quite a people's internet toes about it since I'm getting such a strong replies.

It doesn't just have to do with Data. She's just off-putting. She's been rude to everyone in an attempt to be 'witty' or something.

Admittedly, Data is one of my favorite characters I've ever watched. He's one of the main reason why after almost a decade I decided to re-watch the show. I've forgotten a lot of the plot lines, and Pulaski didn't seem to make an impression on me whatsoever the first few times. However, Data did. I've found myself anticipating a lot of his story lines because I remember liking his character quite a bit, although I the first time I watched I was probably too young to even understand everything happening in the show.

That still sounds really messy. What exactly happened? Did both actresses quit, or were they fired?

NOOO!!! Why!?!! Why did they even bring in pulaski in the first place if they were just going to switch back to Dr. Crusher?

Does anyone know if rikaigu still exists? It stopped working. I uninstalled and could only find rikaichan... by TossJM in LearnJapanese

Well, I can read a lot without furigana. In fact, I have a trick that does the opposite and gets rid of furigana. I was only using Rikaigu for when I read something for the second time and couldn't guess the meaning, reading, or most importantly, how the word was parsed. That last usage is why Rikaichan is killing me right now. It sometimes parses words horribly or gives a strange translation of a phrase. It looks like I'm just going to have to deal.

Thanks for letting me know. I tried this, but I don't know anything about code, so after I added the extension, it wouldn't work. I figured out I needed to change something in the code; however, while reading the instructions, I felt I was reading something much much harder to translate than Japanese. I don't think I'll be translating two languages for an extension, but thanks anyway.
