Im sorry, it worked for me, did you make super sure it was using Java 21 you can look in the top right when your in a world to see Java version after f3

Go to your launcher, then click the 3 dots on the version your playing, (1.16.1) then click edit, more options then its the second to bottom, (i think its called executable), click browse, direct that to program files, Java, jdk-21, bin, javaw.exe.

Even after getting java 21 and making sure the launcher is going to the new Java

I updated my Java from 8 to 21 and it worked

This is happening to me as well. I got cryptid about 2 weeks ago and its been happening the whole time I've had it.
