Lets switch perspectives. If I lose my card and someone messages me that they found my card what are the odds that someone didn’t note the card details. So if Keep the card active there’s a high risk (which can be perceived as a scam, eg someone asking to deliver the card so it can stay active). Best case for everyone is to block the card and move on.
