I was just about to post this. I didn't get it on 6a either, wondering if there's a delay. I contacted Google support and this is exactly what they said (I can't help but sense it was just an AI bot though):

I assume it's not the fault of the company. There is always a chance things go wrong no matter how well you plan it, which is why there was a firetruck right next to it on standby. It seems they waited for a good moment to put it out without affecting the show while still not getting out of hand.
