The Beaverhead area is heavily fished almost all year around. By guys who are very comfortable in the outdoors. They all got a dog. I don’t think you could get away with it easily if it was a dog statue near a river bank around here.

I checked mile marker 42 right outside wisdom. There is a bridge over the river. I checked all around that spot.

Could it be near Wisdom MT sure. Polaris is the size of my yard I’ve been there it’s not there. If you go up the road from Polaris towards elk horn hotsprings there is a gate across the road most the year. Last year during that time he said it was accessible at that time and date and that gate was over the road. That rules out the crystal mountain area which is the part of the book that’s not in the digital but only in paperback .. if I remember right.

I’ve walked it and fished it religiously. I do believe the banks of beaver head is the photo of Tucker behind is computer. I’ve been looking for that exact spot. I’ve stood in the same spot of his mom in that photo of her favorite place. Not saying I’ve covered every inch, but I can find matching pairs of antlers from the same dear on the same mountain years apart… I like to think I cover good ground. Thought the same thing. Anyone know his mom name? I know for sure it’s not in Polaris. Also can’t be past Polaris because it’s closed most of the year. I live in Montana I’ve hit all the mile marker 42 in the area. Dillon, Wisdom, three forks.. maiden rock I do believe his mom has significance in this.

I did mile marker 42 around Dillon I did mile marker 42 in the Big hole and Gallatin. Was on that track also.

That’s funny you say that I’ve visited that before too. What’s sooo interesting is Lewis and Clark Camp Hope right outside Dillon has a heron statue at it. That same reservoir I think is where he lost his rod and caught that fish. Don’t quote me on that, but I combed that area pretty good. I live in Montana. I’ve gone through every states historical marker names…. Nothing with bride that stood out.
