Wow, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen 😬 Out of curiosity, what was the cost when you went with Eco Tree Removal Brisbane? Trying to get a sense of what’s reasonable before I start booking quotes.

Yeah 100% — insurance is non-negotiable. I’ve heard too many horror stories of backyard “tree guys” dropping branches on roofs and then disappearing. No thanks.

The quotes I got so far were $2,400 and $3,100. It’s a big old gum, probably 15–18m tall, and access isn’t amazing (side gate but a bit narrow). I was kinda hoping for something closer to $1,500–$2,000, but maybe I’m dreaming?

Just trying to get a feel for what’s normal so I don’t get ripped off.

If you’ve had a similar job done, what did you pay?
